Never thought I'd see the day that sneaking in Splinter Cell gets so simplified. Gloom and doom graphics mean you're hidden in shadows, while sunshine and lolipops mean you're everyone's bitch.
And I don't get how this piece of shit got through any testing. The bad guys in the game are all fucking morons. Just because you saw Sam Fisher somewhere doesn't mean you should go tunnel vision and simply shoot at his fucking silhouette.
• Will it be clear who you need to interrogate during a level?
Yes, we use projected text as well as other helpers to help you identify the people you must interrogate.
• Is it possible to accidentally kill someone I need to interrogate?
Yes - it’s a game over if you do. However, you’ll have to try pretty hard to make it happen – for example by throwing frag grenades at them.
• Is it still possible to hack computers?
We don’t have a generic hacking mechanic; again, we want to keep the pace faster and more fluid with this game.
• Will there be a black market?
No, however you have the ability to upgrade your weapons and gadgets using the PEC system.
• Will there be a mission where you need to swim/dive?
No.

Yes Ubi, that's exactly what I want from my stealth game!

lol, what are they, terminators
Yes. You can't kill them during the interrogation even though you smash their skulls against metal objects that BEND, but their face is still intact apart from a little blood spurt here and there.

• Will it be clear who you need to interrogate during a level?
Yes, we use projected text and also audio message such as "interrogate this man" because we don't want the ignorant part of our customers (those who can't read) to feel like they can't participate.
• Is it possible to accidentally kill someone I need to interrogate?
Yes - it’s a game over if you do. However, you’ll have to try pretty hard to make it happen, because we don't want the ignorant part of our customers (those without brains) to feel like they can't participate.
• Is it still possible to hack computers?
We don’t have a generic hacking mechanic; again, because the ignorant part of our customers simply don't know what hacking is and it would confuse them.
• Will there be a black market?
No, however you have the ability to upgrade your weapons and gadgets using the PEC system. And because most of our customers are kids below the age of 12 and ignorant people, we don't want to send out the wrong message which could cause their parents to sue us. To be clear, this is not going to be SC like you know it. It's going to be very very very very simple so that absolutely everyone, from crackwhores to politicians can play, without overburdening themselves or be morally offended.
I smell a huge shitty game to be honest so don't get your hopes up...
You should play SC Chaos Theory (again), that was and will probably the last decent episode.
SPOILERS: Don't watch the video if you don't want the game spoiled:
It's a video from cell phone Conviction, it confirms that
Spoiler:
Sarah is indeed alive as it was speculated (remember the slip up by the Ubisoft employee?). I love the cliche dialogue at the end. And WTF, Sam with rocket launcher? If this level is indeed in the game, not only Conviction, but the whole SC franchise is lost.

I don't know if it's old but Conviction will provide a number of hours of play which varies from 12 to 16. A realistic estimation if we consider how noobish are the devs...wrawr wraw

How do we know? Well, apparently Ubi sent a rock (yes an actual rock) to the dudes at IGN with the date for SCC printed on it. Wow, somebody clearly has issues. Or the marketing branch of Ubisoft is really running out of ideas.
- we've already clarified the fact that this is NOT Splinter Cell anymore,
- we'll never see a proper Splinter Cell game in the future,
it looks allright, tense and fun enough for being what it really is: an adrenalinic 3rd person shooter.
After watching the videos I'm sorry to say that I have another gripe with the consoles. It seems that now we can't just sneak around with Fischer freely, NO! we have to use a Gears of War like jump from cover to cover system.
