Doesn't matter, your character will do the "right thing" at the end of either campaign and you even have the choice of betrayal at the end of the human one though of course that campaign does have you kill a lot of native Na'vi dudes but I found it far better compared to the more platform like Na'Vi side and the weapons are cooler. 
(Later end Na'Vi axes/clubs really hit hard and that crossbow can really hurt even the strongest animals and mech but I prefer the traditional human weapons, heh.)

Another bad example. When Crysis came out the vast majority of people couldn't play it properly (14fps is smooooooth!!!! roflcopter) so why the fuck would someone go out and pay $50-60 for a game they can't run? They wouldn't, of course. Or rather, the smart ones wouldn't.
A FREE release comes out and suddenly the game looks a bit more enticing. Yes it'll run like shit, but hey; it's free! It's free and it's not going to cost you fifty fucking bucks.

The main reason people buy console games now over PC is because of the cost. A 360 will cost you £110 and will last you the better part of half a decade, minimum. You can't even buy a graphics card for the PC that will last you half a decade for £110. It's all about economy and prices. Buy a console, be done with it, just buy the games from then on and not have to worry about upgrades or crashes or any other such nonsense.

I remember when RSVegas q came out, he said to me im going to buy the game when a patch is out, that never happened (only if he bought on steam sales one month ago... the game was like 5 bucks)
If a person has acess to the stuff free they are never going to buy it, simply as that.
And then, they wonder why they keep treat pc gaming like shit?
- First they make this shit ass protections (tages etc)
- Make shit ports
- Delay it for months (AC2, AC1.... etc)
- Or never see a PC version of that game
- DLC only for consoles ( its good if its free, expands the game story sometimes).
For those wondering aswell , what the hell is streetunder doing on this forum?
- Its a release forum (yes i like to play before i buy it)

Yes theres A LOT piracy on 360.
But yet, the consoles sell alot more games then pc
And the games for consoles costs more 20 bucks\20 euros, reaching 70 euros or 69,99dollars for each game. (retail stores)
Thats alot money.
Im not comparing if a console its better or not in terms of economic issues, im talking about the games sold on each plataform.

- Yes, because protecting a game REALLY does work, honest!! All these protections do is serve to annoy legitimate buyers. I got skullfucked by EA on Mass Effect and Riddick (fuck you, I buy the games I like) but did the pirates? Nope, they just had to wait a couple weeks more and bingo! Broken protection, free games for all, cakes fall from the sky!

I have tons of cd's and dvd's with "free stuff" stashed away but that didn't keep me from buying around 30 new and used games in the last year.
And do you know why I only got those in the last year? Because up until then the bulk of the money I had went straight to uni and the little that I was able to save was always for hardware.
But I always intended to buy the games I liked the most, because I like having the full package (box and manual) and because I wanted to reward the creators(even if it's almost 8 years since the game came out).
The same doesn't really apply to used games but as I said I like having the full package. 
So go easy with those generalizations dude.

Actually I didn't but Vegas 2 even for 5 bucks. But you are an idiot as usual nonetheless. I just bought Wings of Prey less than two weeks ago.

Yes, it does, but it is because of variety of reasons. It was the first console of this generation to reach market, so it built its base earlier. And yes, piracy is a major factor in deciding which console people buy. So user base from early on + more people buying = games get targeted on 360 first by developers, which leads to even more people preferring the 360. Another huge factor is how stupidly hard it is to develop for the PS3. So this means most games are not as well optimized as the 360 (this is evident in almost every comparison in sites like Eurogamer)..

You just invalidated your whole argument. The game wasn't available for free up until recently (aka people didn't "has acess"), and still it sold like shit. And that's the point; nobody will buy crap games. They might play them a little for free, but they won't buy them. |

I've said it before and I'll say it again: The only working copy-protection is making a quality game. Look at Valve and Bioware, neither use any intrusive or annoying DRM, but they still get many many sales. Why? Because they make good games. This game is selling like shit. Why? Because it is shit.

But instead it just turned out kind of average (not bad but not overly good either)... By churning out these average games they destroy their reputation... The whole reason why we try before we buy (piracy) is because of shitty ports, shitty games, and you're suggesting they make more? What kind of logic is that?
Now, I know you love this game and that's fine but I don't and I've played for many hours just to give it a good chance since I really loved the movie. I'm not to picky with games either... |
I'd also like to know where you got your sources from when you say "because most pc gamers dont buy games (even if the game is good)". Every one I know IRL buys games they liked after having pirated it. But only if it was good and they liked it. So do I.
Maybe the reason why the PC sales of this game don't align properly with the piracy increase is because most people downloaded it and found it to be very lacking in the fun department? There is no fucking way I'd EVER buy this average soulless game. |
