game kinda grows on me lol (also figured you can set both phasers to auto and torpedo to manual, which kinda works fine for me.). missions are quite long with lots of hard fights.
Seeing forward to spend some real time into this game next week when i've some time ...
off to work ...

Lord of the rings did this too didn't it?
I know they had a special deal where if you signed up for a subscription before the game came out you could get a reduced price (9.99 instead of 14.99), but I think they later dropped the regular subscription to 9.99. At least I keep getting emails offering it to me for that price again.

For the MOST part, it's glorious mate - max settings (everything at 100%, view distance at 150%) and I get 45-75fps. It does, however, chug down to the mid 20s during heavy ground/space battles. It's not constant (thank fuck...) but it does happen.
As for lag itself; it started badly but has been getting better lately. |
strange then, i get sloppy movement all time from login afte preload states of instance and always every instance after that.. although i was still in tutorial area, not sure if thats part to do with it... |

No performance problems at all here. Playing at 1920x1080. Although, it does say that my GPU doesn't support AA.

I am actually enjoying the space combat in this game. . . im actually enjoying it more than any recent MMO.
i may end up buying this.
Wish i could play borg without forking out 239 bucks. And, i wish it had MUCHO more voice acting. Too bad it doesn't have conversations like Mass Effect or something.
This might keep me occupied with my MMO desire until the Star Wars MMo comes out.
Gots to try that one.

Yes. For $150.00 you could get a life time sub n LOTR when it came out.

If I had the money to spare, I'd definitely consider buying a lifetime sub. The game is brilliant and I'm having a blast with it -- but $250? That's insane..

I haven't had any performance issues on my laptop. Playing at 1920x1200. I don't know about the rest, just left it at defaults.
Core 2 duo 2.0 ghz
512 MB geforce 7950GTX
2 GB Ram
7200 RPM HD 160 GB
Game looks good. Plays well.
I'll hopefully put in some serious time later tonight. I've finished the tutorial, and the first patrol mission as well as rescued the first transport ship.

Everytime I go to the ground I have my ship for a few seconds. The same thing happens in space, I'll be running around with my character for a little while.

The game seems to have load issues all over the place. Lately i am too getting the issues if i beam down and no team. Also it doesnt pop up the chance to call for reinforcements. Also dont stress if u dont get the 20k needed to buy next ship. Right now if u reach the required level the commander will just hand u a token and u can get a new ship for that token.

A lot of the time now I'll beam to the ground/station and it will be my SHIP that beams in ... with none of my away team. Being literally solo on these kinds of missions? Epic Death Lulz.
