Patch to wave 3 and download the dashboard update from the link above. You'll need to burn the update to cd/dvd and once installed, it'll work fine.

I've got a banned console and updated. If I try to install it just states "Installation of this game is not supported"

No, the console is banned therefore I cannot, nor can any other banned console, do an update online. They don't let you connect hence being banned.

If you haven't been banned, then not this will not kill your HDD install. The HDD install is only killed once you get a ban.

EA Games never support System Link, even back with the old Xbox. EA are fucktards.

Just finished it after about 7 hours. It was good, but nothing special.
But the "story" was very bad.

it's not bad at all - this is what the first one should have been.
- gfx are good
- love the weapon customization (could have used more depth, but then again, i'm one of these hardware nuts who would join the special forces just to get my hands on a M4 SOPMOD kit )
- it's linear as hell, but at least it has some (small) branching paths
- moral choices, hostages etc are nothing special, but still nice gameplay additions
- and FINALLY, your AI partner isn't stupid as shit. which is actually quite an achievement.
solid 8/10 - actually 7.5, but + .5 for the purple flower mask . if they had given the devs a few more months to flesh out the story, add some stuff to the gameplay and maybe touch up the graphics a bit, this game could have easily stolen the co-op crown from games like gears of war and re5.

Wait what? I've played for about an hour baring with how relentlessly moronic the AI was acting. When I told him to advance he ran around like a headless chicken and I just stopped telling him to stay put in aggro mode because he just gets himself killed.
Gonna try it with my brother tomorrow, since we finished Army of Two in co-op I suppose this is gonna be a hell lot of fun as well.
Oh, one thing I noticed, does it only seem that way or is the camera weird? Not in positioned weird but in like fov weird? I always feel like I don't see much of my surroundings O.o
But maybe that's just because I'm used to other games where you've got a whole lot more of overview.

Burned the game, it asked for an update and since I had patched it to wave3, didn't risk with the update.
Downloaded the recent fall updated from Microshaft's website and burned it onto a DVD and got the dashboard updated. Game worked flawlessly after that.

This topic proves that you guys need some friends. Come on! AI partner? fuck you dillweeds! I want a true review from someone that has a god-forsaken real-life friend to play with. You know,... the way it was meant to be played!

I said a few pages back that I played the first 3 chapters with a friend. The experience is still like in the old game, the few changes are not very substantial, combat still is the same, so all is good. Enjoyed old one, enjoy this one.

I don't play games with friends. Gaming is MY time, pub time is their time. I try my best not to mix the two with a few exceptions.
The AI is ok in this game. The best thing is its predictable. You can easily work out the qwirks and work around them therefore its completely playable. If it was Operation Flashpoint 2 AI then I'd have given up after chapter 1.
