Torchlight has a "Netbook" mode in the options. Maybe it runs well on yours.

GTA 3
GTA VC
GTA SA

All of them should work quite well. There are videos on YouTube showing people playing them with good FPS on the most basic Netbooks with Intel GMA crap. They have huge amounts of content, so you should be fine with them. Smile

Be nice to Karmeck. By now he probably blew away most of his vision...

i enjoy all of the old&epic rpgs on my netbook (lenovo s10e), so bg1/2 (bgtutu!), icewind dale, planescape torment etc were fun.
dota is playable if you find the mobile version (wc3 ripped by some guy, sounds and some textures are removed to make dota run better) and ofc regular warcraft 3/frozen throne, pretty nice single player and ran well (dont need ripped version for those to run well)
torchlight worked for a while, then randomly stopped working and i didnt try to start it since, got pretty bored with it anyway
heroes of might and magic 3 (with wake of gods if you want) is also really awesome, but you might need some resolution hacks to get it to work properly
gta 2 & san andreas are the ones i tried, san andreas didnt run well enough to be fun but gta 2 was awesome

Eh, for kids age 10 and up, I say they are actually quite fine. That is of course, if they are properly educated. Wink

Many MAME games (and many other emulators too) work fine in netbooks, I'd go for them.
