Hmm, i'm wondering if I should not install this this now, because I own the game and have an online profile for the game and it keeps track of my legally purchased dlc's, so I'm thinking that the server will see me using this before it's released and ban my account. Or what do you guys think?

Ps. This got to be some kind of beta version.. No??

just finished the dwarf quest line. holy fuck that kicked my ass. it was so long and so overbearing.. so i dunno if i enjoyed playing that bit.. put it this way, i dont look forward to the questline AGAIN in another play through...

the MASSIVE contradictory BUT in all that, though, is that its easily go the most rewarding storyline... as far as the game goes, this has easily been the richest and most interesting part of the story... im so confused... i hated it but i loved it.

its also the best place to get fucking rich. i left orzammar with like 3 or 4 gold... came out and after selling everything, im up to around 200 gold.

IGN: Origins has been supported by a large amount of DLC from launch. The most recent of which, Return to Ostagar, has been delayed until the end of January at the earliest. Is there any explanation as to why the delay occurred? Is it solely to release the DLC for all three platforms at the same time, or was there another issue?

Fernando Melo:No, it has nothing to do with platforms themselves. It's a quality issue where, literally, at the last minute, we spotted something that had made it through our own testing, EA's testing and was at Microsoft already. But it applies to all three platforms; it wasn't something specific to Microsoft, we just happened to catch it there first. We probably could have gone with it, but it's something that was serious enough that we felt it impacted the quality [of the DLC] and we made the choice to delay it to give our fans the best experience with it. That was the reason behind [the delay] -- we want to make sure that we don't cut any corners when we do the DLC. There's already a lot of content out, there's a lot more coming -- we just announced the expansion pack, and there's more coming after that. I think the worst thing we could do after that is do anything "to poison the well," to use the expression, or put fans off from feeling that they're getting the best content from us. It's a long term decision instead of a short term decision.

just download the dazip files. Run daupdater.exe. Add the two files. Install them. Done. Either before or after you'll need to have the 1.02a update applied.

Since the first link is mediafire instead of Bioware's server it's most likely pre-cracked (Ran trough that decrypt utility perhaps?) and as for it's early release it might already be on their server but delayed for various other reasons (Might be a beta.)

It's also funny how it's called DAO_PRC_OCP_* when that DLC keep is called DAO_PRC_OCP_2_* but the same went for the Oblivion DLC. Smile

Hmm, do you think this dlc will mess up my legal installation of Da with online profile that registers my dlc's? I'm afraid that I will be banned for using this

Nope, it can't be detected like that it seems.
(No one so far has been in any problems for using the previous DLC for example.)

All the launcher does is load it as any other modification and then the game reads the files.
(The files might be somewhat encrypted but that's what that utility is made for, seems the system wasn't changed or they didn't bother with a small DLC, main expansion might use something else but it's not really comparable to a small quest addon.)

K, good to know because I would be really sad if my bioware social account got banned as I have bought dlc for the game and have already bought bioware points for Ostagar and future stuff.

Btw. Isn't it odd that a bioware spokesperson recently announced that the Awakening expansion won't be available on the bioware store? I was hoping to use my already purchased points for something like that and probably save some $ as I would be buying directly from the game company and not from some expensive store in my town...

It says on the Awakening expansion page that you won't be able to purchase it in the Bioware store I guess they're following the same model as with NWN 1 with DLC available for purchase from a store but actual expansions have to be bought either as retail copies or from online retailers like D2D, Steam or EA Store.
(I guess it could work as a .dazip module for the game with a patch or similar to make it compatible but I think they'll integrate it to the main game a bit more like a separate install.)

Hopefully they won't integrate Tages or SecuROM activation either this time but we'll just have to wait and see what happens. Smile
(I look forward to a proper expansion although it seems it won't be all that long but that's just from various rumors, still fine with around 15 hours or so of playtime compared to the usual 6 - 8 hours, heh.)

I'm also looking forward to that expansion (didn't expect to see something like that, but what a nice surprise Smile
Here's me hoping that we will run into Morrigan again Very Happy

Oh and btw. I'm curious to see how the story is gonna work as some Bioware guy said something about being able to import our warden into the expansion but it will also be possible to make a new warden from Orlais who of course don't have a history with the events of Origins...
