Great news, can't wait. I'm a bit disturbed that it'll come so soon though.
Anyways, a real expansion pack is what i hoped the game would get. DLCs are one thing, a big expansion something else altogether and they give us both. I like this aproach and level of support for a fresh title. Keep it up, EA!
Also, this probably means that sales were more then enough, and we can expect a full-fledged sequel sooner or later .
If it was a sequel coming so soon, I'd be disturbed too (looking at you, Valve) but an expansion pack? I'd say just the right amount of time has passed to make it viable.
I doubt it's just a one day delay. If they encountered a problem one day before relase they would have to go through the Microsoft certification process all over again. That's at least 2 more weeks.

I spoke to EA bods before the game was released I was told, “We’ve got at least 30 hours more content ready for the game already,” so it’s no surprise that the expansion rumoured for March should be about 15 hours long
So, how long is Ostragar and how long is Awakenings planned to be?
I read RtO should be an hour of playtime, so in reality after 30 minutes you are through it..
Seeing that the expansion gives more controlable chars and more spells/skills and the ability to respec, I expect it to go for a lot more hours, but indeed, no word yet on how much.
