Impressive machine, although Stock Trading is very overrated imo, the sheer amount of time and expertise one needs to have to make a constant profit out of trading is damn to high when you consider that the smallest mistake can cost you tens of thousands of dollars that you have currently invested.

I tried it for a while and what I profited in the end after countless hours invested in studying and researching was virtually nothing, it's far more profitable if you work with bet trading, I do some bet trades over at betfair every once and a while when some big games come up and I have made 100 times more money with 3 - 4 hours work following the games turns in odds and etc than I have ever made in day trading all my life.

I still prefer some good old CPA survey's spammed all over and making me $500 a day though Wink

I really don't get the usage of Quadro cards in there Confused He's not doing video editing of any kind, just stock graphs :\
It seems like someone has gotten a fair amount of money and decided to buy the best there is and found on the net that Quadro are high end cards so why not?

a quadro fx uses ~ 30-40watt, so do the math. all those 7 cards together use the same, if not less power than ONE current top notch gfx card running on full load, so i doubt heat is a problem.

@dingo_d: low end quadros aren't meant for multimedia, they're just solid workstation gpus. you pay extra for excellent drivers, which makes them much more stable - can't afford your gpu crashing the system while stock trading now, can ya? Wink

what i don't understand tho is why the guy uses 7 cards for 9 displays Confused

the stock trader added more screens recently from what the builder said. Doesn't have screens yet. He also is running more screens out of laptops as well now.
