Haha, that would be a pretty cool and somewhat creepy mod for those USB driven "Fleshlight" devices.
(Japanese developers are pretty far ahead with this sort of thing though, some titles allow you to use a webcam to create your character or victim's appearance.)

(EDIT: Above is mostly based mostly of this thing by the way which I read about quite some time ago, way to modify a normal dildo - http://www.somethingawful.com/d/horrors-of-porn/horrible-adult-toys.php?page=12 and this "thing" is somewhat scary as well - http://www.somethingawful.com/d/horrors-of-porn/horrible-adult-toys.php?page=11 )

After this trailer i somehow get the impression that the SP part of the game may indeed be quite epic! Smile

I still fear for MP though.

Please tell me they still have the Lifecycle from AVP2. It was such great fun sneaking around as a facehugger, waiting for a group of marines to separate.

I love the new trailer, Lance Henriksen's voice over is what makes it great.

AvP 1 should work on XP, Vista would be harder but there were still some issues with the original game but it did run at least.
(That said that was years ago so I don't fully remember what I had to do but I did replace the EXE as you mentioned and it was the latest version of the main game.)

Maybe someone here could help me with a problem I've got with AvP2.
I'm using Win7 Ultimate 64x and an Logitech G9 mouse. My mouselook/aim feels delayed (not really, but I can't describe it better), it's really wierd. Any idea to solve this?

Make sure you don't have any mouse smoothing or v-sync on.

I tried this but it didn't work. After some research (again) it seems there is no solution for my problem. The only way to re-play AvP2 the proper way is to use an older mouse with less DPI. Sad

Hmm according to the video (I think it's from the multiplayer part) in the following link, the Alien will not be forced to jump from surface to surface from only certain spots that has been put there by the Devs. I know a lot of people including myself feared that it would be the case after seeing some promo vids (so maybe it's optional for the pc version as I can't imagine how one would control the Beastie fast enough with a gamepad without these spots)

Interview, seems there will be a demo though it might be console only.
(Albeit with AMD\ATI hyping DX11 there might be a PC version as well similar to the CoP benchmark and Dirt 2 demo.)

That interview (all three parts, it starts from here; http://www.avpgalaxy.net/index.php?main=site&section=rebellionvisitpart2a ) was absolutely golden! It really does sound like they've got their shit together and REALLY care about the source material as well as their fans. I don't think a single person here will say AVP1 was a bad game, in fact I think fans of the Aliens/Predator saga in general will say it was superb - so I really believe Rebellion know what they're doing.

Maaaan, I can't wait for this! BRING IT ON!!

umm, I used to know some of the guys at Rebellion, they bought Razorworks last year who I worked with some years ago.

Some of Rebellions stuff has been ok, but not great, like Rouge Trooper, Judge Dredd, Shellshock.

Never quite as impressive as say ID or Gearbox.

I really do hope it pulls through for them.

Meh. I thought Rogue Trooper was EXCELLENT. Extremely fun Smile I never played the Shellshock games though, and Judge Dredd was utter shite.

I'm hoping since they've expanded and bought more studios that they've got a lot more talent on board.

I always think consistancy and being really tight with the whole vision of the game art and design is key. Some of the American studios have got this sewn up really well, and in the UK there's been a tendancy to look out at everyone else and follow.

The UKs always been good on technical development, but never pushed the old school skills enough on the art and design side, although I'm sure this isn't the case since digital art is so accessible and prevelant now.

Let's hope I'm wrong anyway.

It's been said that AvP will have dedicated servers on PC and so far I know there was nothing ever said at this subject about Colonial Marines.
