|
 |
Hello,
I am looking to buy a new laser printer. I have been researching on the net and reading reviews and came to the conclusion that I might get the HP CP2025DN. I would like to know what laser printers would other people suggest. Thank you.

I suggest you use your neighbors because ink is too damn expensive!

Laser printers don't use ink
Not really into printers though; got a Samsung ML-2010 myself, does what it needs to do. Cost me like 50 euros because it was on sale.
Pretty sure you can find a cheaper one than that HP though, which costs 500 euros. Unless you really do need ridiculously high quality prints of course, what are you gonna be using it for?

Most consumer and small business laser printers use a toner cartridge that combines the photoreceptor (sometimes called "photoconductor unit" or "imaging drum") with the toner supply bin, the waste toner hopper, and various wiper blades. When the toner supply is consumed, replacing the toner cartridge automatically replaces the imaging drum, waste toner hopper, and wiper blades.
Okidata Laserjet Printer Toner Cartridge (Black) $161.13
PRINTER TONER CARTRIDGE - 1 X BLACK - YIELD: 3500 PAGES $167.17
Because it doesn't use ink the printer itself isn't cheap and it doesn't look like the toner is either...

I once found cheap Colour Laser I think it was HP Color LaserJet CP1215, around 200€, but it has 4 cartriges which cost ~50€ each, so in the end when your colours run out you basically have to buy new printer, which sux.
The thing you have to look when finding good b/w laser printers is the speed which your printing is done. At uni we have old HP LaserJet and it takes hin like a million years to print something (which can be pretty annoying when you have to measure sth in lab, and you don't have time to wait -.-)...
