Any ideas? loved world in conflict, hated company of heroes. looking for somthing fast paced, im not really a fan of building bases and slowly building an army. I like to have to power to oblitifry my enemies without having to fanny about collecting resourses.

Dude, how can u hate Company of Heroes?

But anyway, the only one that comes to mind (right now) is Men of War. It more realistic than Company of Heroes, so don't bother trying if you don't like realism. But there is no resource collecting, and you have a ton of equipment available, not to mention 5 sides (USSR, USA, Germany, UK and Japan).

Supreme Commander is good, but its all about resource collecting...

Then you'll find Men Of War extremely difficult. There is a lot of micromanaging in there.Maybe the last Tom Clancy's "consolized" rts game is what you're looking for(i can't remember the name now).I would recommend King Arthur also on easy difficulty.

Dawn of War II Very Happy Truly fantastic game, with none of the base-building/resource-collecting of the first one (I actually find that a sadness, but it may appeal to you)

Hm maybe Men of War is a bit difficult... Hows about the C&C games? Red Alert 3 is a simple RTS...

Yeah ""I need a new Real Time Strategy(RTS)" But I don't want to play one that needs me to use strategies."
I'm sorry to say it, but you shouldn't be playing strategy games at all. You need a tactical game. Sadly most of those have a strategic aspect as well.

Ground Control 2 comes to mind.. you spent less time messing with logistics, and more on the warfront.

Dawn of War II is the GOTY for me, no doubt. I've been playing the hell out of The Last Stand. Finally got to wave 20 the other day and wow, it's crazy tough, but I'm yet to beat it. The campaign is fun and can be played co-op. The expansion, coming out in March, introduces the Chaos Space Marines as a 5th playable race and the campaign lets you pick up on your existing campaign. Interestingly, as the expansion campaign progresses, you have a "corruption" meter that allows you to actually become a Chaos Space Marine, so it will probably be worth a 2nd play through just to see both sides. And of course the is the full blown multiplayer mode which has like 21 maps, 1vs 1, 2vs2, and 3vs3, playable with bots or human opponents. There was a pretty cool community map pack that has a ton of additional maps as well. Overall, it's an amazing game.

+25 Basically the only thing I play besides MW2, so much room for strategy and 1 man can actually make a difference depending on how you play him, highly recommended!

Yeah once you get past the worst voice acting in the history of games, you find a very deep game. One of the few games where a very fragile soldier, hidden in the grass can take out a King Tiger and change the game completely...

It wasn't meant to come off that way but here take this in, because in reality every game is based on resources one way or another, even those that claim not to be. Company of Heroes you go around capping points, the longer you hold them the more resources you get. So only in your dreams, besides hope is your greatest weakness and strength...

Any game not based on resources directly such as World in Conflict which I bought and haven't played much at all just doesn't hold my interest so I can't remember exactly how it works. Wasn't it like you had so many points and each unit type consumed those points? Oh yeah that's the same as resources Rolling Eyes

I've PM'd iNatan and sTo0z about some The Last Stand and if anyone else wants to hook up, PM me as well. My heroes are 17 (SM), 14 (Orc), 13 (farseer), give or take a level and I usually get to at least wave 16, esp with SM or Orc and a team that doesn't totally suck and die all the time, afk or someone drop.
