|
 |
Does anyone know of a good app/way to color correct my two monitors? Just bought a 24" one, and i still wanna use my previous 21" one. They're quite off each other in the color though..
Watercooled 5950X | AORUS Master X570 | Asus RTX 3090 TUF Gaming OC | 64Gb RAM | 1Tb 970 Evo Plus + 2Tb 660p | etc etc

I use an awesome app called Lutcurve, but i've only seen it work really well with CRT monitors. You can try it though.

u dont need to try it,, use ur cards colour settings for each monitor ffs lol and set it close to what u want... the key is i find is getting the sat/vibrance right with a bit of extra contrast in most cases for the screen lacking that pazzaz! feeling the other one has..

because no software app is going to do what he needs if he is in any form of a proffesional colour user.. Period.. If one does then your work is not going to be as good as it could be.
Anyone thats anyone that uses colours with say photoshop work etc, will need to use decent monitors with a proper white/black return... if you dont then it is hard to work on certain accurate matching when creating your work..
Even the hobbiest skin creaters when doing say an airliners body rip from great photos compalin about how its not how they want it due to theyre shitty monitor producing the whites badly...
If you want good matching and proper colours your going to have to buy a good top end screen....
And mixing two diff brands is NOT going to help you much if thats your line of work.. At least if your going to get some match between screens buy two of the same monitors lol, sort of common sense really..

that was quick !
the feature set is impressive and you can try to abuse its power a little, like leaving brightness at 0 and raise brightness on later levels only to achieve maximum black level and similar stuff.
If you already did try it a little, did you have color banding issues on your monitor? When i tried it on an LCD/TFT, i couldnt even touch the sliders without causing severe color problems.
