i've played the german version for a few hours, its quite a little gem. A little rough around the edges tho. Story seems very well polished and the voiceactors are fantastic. And the 1.02 patch is a huge improvement.

Me too, I played up to the first boss in Venice and I like it very much, the gameplay is similar to the Zelda games, but after that point the game is too complex for my german skills.

I wanted to give this a spin, but it's not working with DT-Tools lite on Win7 x64 for me.
Guess it's waiting for a fix then. From the media, I want to see how this looks for myself.

As with any other German made game, it's probably best to wait for the international release. I have no idea how this kind of business is tolerated by German gamers, they're blatantly used as beta testers for the international market.

they already fixed alot of stuff with the 1.02 patch and enhanced the gfx tremendously. The releaseversion wasnt pretty at all and kinda buggy. It seems to become a habit for the germans to betatest for the international market.
Does anyone know when the international release is planned? I cant seem to find anything at the english speaking retailers.
xExtreme: 1.02 works perfectly with the virtualcd mini image (get it at the usual places).

The patch is not working with my original polish version of the game, no matter what I set in registry or config files. Can anyone upload files that are included in the patch without the installshield? Knowing the polish publishers history I doubt that we get this patch at all...

It works, though I had to use a mini image from the German release.

Let me know how you were able to run the itwins game version.
Ricky78 are you from Italy like me?
I tried to run the game with the included crack...nothing happens ( I tried with others from others sites too) .
it's impossible to apply patches v. 1.1 and 1.02 because the original .exe is not recognized by them.
I can't use the virtual Cd because it doesn't recognize the miniimage...I 'm thinking perhaps the venetica.exe from the game I downloaded is corrupted .In this case I would appreciate someone send me the original venetica.exe by email.

Universal extractor can be used with the Italian version (With a updated version of innounp.exe) and then you just copy the files over.
Italian version sort of matches 1.01 so it doesn't have the 1.02 enhancements (Which is why the 1.02 patch has the _EFIGS in the title for English, French, Italian, German and Spanish.)
(French version should be next, Q1 2010 with the English version afterwards, both will probably be 1.02 comparable.)
I hacked the Italian.bin file a bit with Notepad++ to translate all GUI tags, it's not 100% correct and I can't test this until 1.02 is cracked.
(The Russians have their own tool so they did a Ger to Rus translation but this isn't something I can do, translating the content is doable in a rough form via google but it has to be put back in line by line and then specifying the number of letters used, there's like 11000 lines of text.)

Sorry Jbeckman but how to use innounp.exe? I have both universal extractor 1.6 and a file called innohunp.exe ( version 027.rar) but when i click on the latter nothing happens!
If I try to extract the patch with only the univ. utility it doesn't work.

Put the innounp.exe file in the "C:\Program Files (x86)\Universal Extractor\bin" folder - (x86) only for 64-bit OS's - to replace the old version with a newer one, then start universal extractor and drag the patch over it and select where to unpack the result.
You should get a folder with the name of the patch EXE file and in there a script file for the installer and a folder the installer uses plus a "app" path and in there the unpacked files for the game will be, just copy them to the game folder to update the files.

I didn't try the included crack, I directly installed the 1.02 patch and used the VCD miniimage avalaible from GCW mounted on the physical drive.
I used Windows 7 x64, strangely the italian release gave me a runtime erron on XP, instead the german release worked fine.
BTW, I just completed the game, it's quite good but it still have a lot of bugs...

Thanks JBeckman.I tried to replace the patch content I extracted with the original version but something is wrong because the game is still version 1.01 and I can't notice any performance and video improvement.
So I'm screwed because my german version has an .exe v. 1.01 and I haven't the original venetica .exe and I don't know where find it ( apart from buying...of course!).Sincerely I'm not going to spend 70 euro for this game in Italy.

BTW I found a german repack of 2.6 GB but only after downloading I found out it was already patched to v. 1.01.

Seems like 360 English version is out Venetica.PAL.XBOX360-DAMNATION but knowing how German RPGs turn out on 360 I'm not even gonna bother.
