Spoiler: |
You get to ride these creatures eventually as part of the Na'Vi story path.
(About the fourth or so "mission" all in all, not the most agile of creatures but very effective against lighter ground targets.)
|
As for the recolors I just mucked around a bit under DX9 with TexMod and Paint .Net (Program - TexMod that is - doesn't support DX10 unfortunately.)
EDIT: Haha, so that's what it is.

They're pretty similar in terms of length, doing the human campaign now and I like it a bit better, Na'Vi had it's moments though.
(Na'vi is kinda melee focused though the crossbow will kill most anything in a few hits once it's upgraded whereas the human campaign is about using weapons and vehicles to overcome the Na'Vi and jungle creatures and even plants.)
I much prefer how the humans speak as well compared to the semi-broken English that the Na'Vi rambles in with mixed English and native words, gets a bit messy and they sound odd for some reason, voice acting overall could have been done better though.
(Overall story is also very similar between both "factions" but plays out in different unique ways depending on your chosen side.)
Funny though how crashing into enemies with vehicles doesn't seem to harm them, guess I'll need a AMP-suit or something to really damage the opposition.
(Currently using shotgun up-close and rifle for longer distance targets, "railgun" is fun as well but a bit weaker though it's firing rate is superior, not much for the grenade launcher or flamethrower though that one is very effective against vegetation, assault rifle is a bit meh as well but can be used if ammo runs out for the rifle.)
Oh and vehicles control better for humans, especially when flying.
(That bird creature isn't exactly easy to control trying to ascend and descend as it requires momentum to work, hover choppers work much better though they are a bit clunkier though the same goes for any vehicle wether you compare buggy to horse or helicopter to bird or "panther" to mech, haha.)
Didn't really use conquest mode much at all either but it has a few nice bonuses that can help if you can take the territories required to earn them, doesn't affect the main game in any other ways however.
Visuals are quite solid as well as been mentioned though texture resolution is a bit low (Blurry or how to describe it.) on certain things like weapons and armor and certain characters though the environments are great, particularly the few night levels and more open areas.
(Some more creature variety would have been nice as well and the enemies usually consist of viperwolves and Na'Vi/Humans with different equipment with a few larger things here and there.)

Tages and a new version of it, might take a while although it's hard to say as we're just speculating and guessing.

http://avatargame.us.ubi.com/#/dlc
DLC, similar to the limited edition content you get unique versions of the standard weapons, same stats however.
(The limited edition armor sets however are amongst the best available.)
EDIT: Based on a few forum posts this might be region restricted, kept looping for me so it's probably US only. (The .US. in the URL if switched to .UK. doesn't show the DLC page, perhaps a better URL could be found?)

to be honest,I don't really that care about the game
it seems it's isn't that great,not as MW2 and L4D2 anyway.
I don't think I will bother even to download it when it will be cracked.
