They partnered with nvidia (maybe got paid to? i don't know how that works), and prolly don't really give much of a damn since it's not a problem with the xbox version.

Looking forward to the rest

I really like how the environment changes to full color from black and white... it really conveys the feeling that the oppressive atmosphere has been removed when we complete a mission.

1 and 2 are still amazing.

Really enjoying the game !
It's full of little brillant ideas that make it quite special, the black & white setting being one of the most agreable. I'm quite far into the game, the story is nice, the ambiance is awesome, feels good being in the Resistance Very Happy. Been a long time since I wanted some free-roaming game in Paris and the GTA4-Mafia-Assassin's Creed mix works pretty well, allowing you to enjoy the city. The fact that the destructions you make are permanent is a nice plus too.

Nevertheless, concerning the voice acting, the "french" or "german" accent the characters sometimes have is really too ridiculous and forced to be appreciated by a frenchie such as myself, and that actually taints their acting and lines. Mostly Veronique in fact. That's the only major flaw I've seen so far !

8.5/10 for me

Has anyone figured out how to save? I played most the 1st missions...got to the dynamite part..had to save. Started again..loaded save...and it was at the 1st part in the bar.

Can you manually save or do you have to wait for check points?

If it's Nvidia TWIMTBP then my understanding is devs don't get paid to use it.
The deal is that Nvidia sends some of it's own guys to help the devs optimise the pc game for free.
Pretty sweet deal if your a developer i'd imagine

Hi,

Anyone of you experienced a freeze when pressing the "exit to windows" from the savegame menu? the game runs just fine without any problems (i did not apply any fixes, only the crack thats included in the rls) but I do not wish to kill the exe everytime I want to close the game.

I'm with Q6600 & gtx260 &Win7 64bit

Thanks a lot.

Yeah, that's why there's no nVidia logos on the homepage - and instead you see "sponsored by ATi" Laughing

I think somebody had a similar issue some pages ago.. The solution is to get through the prologue taking place 3 months before the actual plot, which isn't this first bombing mission; so that the game registers you being in the safe house.

Just started playing, I'd say it's decent so far but nothing special... How long until you get access to dynamite? Just started Act 1 and I wanna blow stuff up already!

Ah yes, works perfectly for me as well with 4870x2... Just shame about no AA.

Yep, a lot of guys who announced problems also mentioned that they use vista/7. Just a few have problems with XP. For me this is definitly operating system problem.

For the record, this game is my personal "sleeper game of the year" and works quite well for me (using the stuff below). I like it's open endedness. Approach or escape from any direction, complete all objectives using any strategy you want, sneaky, guns blazing or both. The cutscenes and storyline aren't too shabby either. Considering I downloaded this for shits and giggles not having heard much about this game, it turned out to be a whole lot of unexpected fun.

Intel Core 2 Quad Q9650 @3.0GHz / Gigabyte GA-X48-DS5 Motherboard / PC Power & Cooling 750 PSU Crossfire Certified / 8GB Ram / 1.06 Terrabyte SATA internal hard drives / 300GB eSATA External hard drive / Liteon DVD Rom / NEC 3520A DVD-RW / SB Audigy X-fi XtremeGamer / Two-ATI Radeon HD-4850's in Crossfire / BenQ E2400HD 24" LCD Monitor / Running on Vista Ultimate SP2 64bit.

Ouch, I saw someone else claim this and just repeated it verbatim. Bah I suck.

In that case, it's hilarious. The only cards the game didn't work with, and the game partnered with the company. Rolling Eyes

My two ATi 4850's in Crossfire with or without using the "UT3.exe" play the game just fine.

Shifted to Windows 7 and guess what? The game got fucked.

I knew I should have completed it while I was on XP and then moved, but I guess the wait to shift to Win7 got the better of me. Fuck it! Will either have to wait for a fix or ditch the game altogether.

that happened with me too several times, no messenger appeared, had to reload save game and icons came back, it's known game bug

btw this game has quick save to save your current stats, not progress in the mission or anything like that

Just finished the main storyline in about 15 hours game time and think this review sums it up really nicely : http://www.videogamer.com/pc/the_saboteur/review-2.html

Most critics are just too harsh for this game.

The game is officially released tomorrow, so anybody complaining is most certainly playing with a pirated copy. I'm not playing with a legal version myself but seriously, why would EA give a fuck about people pirating their games?

So stores never break street date, right? Nope, obviously anyone playing it right now - or trying to - is a pirate, right?

Nice generalisation.

Yeah because never in the history of video games have some stores broken the street dates or peoples' preorders arrived early.

Wrong, i bought my game from play.com and they always send the game a day or two early and my copy arrived this morning.
