Funny People - 7/10
Good movie, has some issues but overall a very watchable movie in my book.

i hate revenge movies. heres why:
 Spoiler: | i always end up sympathizing with the guy thats been wronged, and want him to succeed and get his revenge, but almost always he ends up being portrayed as the 'bad guy', and ends up dead because the movie tries to tell a moral story or some shit, and paint him in a negative light.... just annoys the FUCK out of me, because i hate injustice and when the wronged man inevitably does NOT get his revenge, and even worse, gets KILLED or put in jail, it just fucks me off.
and just to check... does the 'wronged' man in law abiding citizen die at the end and not complete his quest for revenge? |

| Spoiler: | You got that right, i also do hate that. But i just focus on the "guts" of the movie - the reasons, the pain inside and the killing.
Law Abiding Citizen has a "normal" ending - the main hero dies at the end (napalm  ) and it's hard to tell if he succeeded in his quest of revenge. That's cause it aint revenge only on those responsible for the deaths of his family but also on those who went for a deal with one bad guy. That's what makes this movie a bit more "special". Also main hero is kinda brutal with some executions.
I advise you to watch it, just to see a little different revenge movie. The choice is yours

Somehow i have a feeling those movies i saw lately were much better than 2012  but still i gotta see it as i love to see the world end

Haha Hugh Laurie as Capt James Biggs. Doesn't sound like his kind of role. The Keanu factor in this is throwing me off... do you really think it's an 8/10 or are you being generous? |

I know. I haven't seen the movie but I'm interested. I ask because Keanu can be hit or miss and if he's good in this I'll definitely watch. |
