Yeah, but the difference is... it's the Korean market, and if there's one thing Koreans know -- it's how to make a successful MMO, something to swim above the sea of OTHER titles. They'll take Hellgate and keep supporting it, keep adding new content, which is something Flagship failed to do.

Colour me cynical, but this is a bit like a dirty ho being passed around by a bunch of pimps. The first pimp, Flagship, ho'd her good and proper, leaving many gamers felling well and truly screwed. Now a bunch of Korean pimps are doing it. In a years time it'll probably be some Russian pimps. Unless someone's going to say the previous johns who paid for a screwing are going to get another go on the ho for free, but I doubt that. It just wouldn't be pimpin would it.

Started playing it again.(I just felt like playing it. xD) Any good builds for blademaster or evoker? I am having a hard time surviving massive battles and boss fights.

Hellgate was very confused. If it had decided what it was pricewise and storywise it would have been a lot better.
I recently started reading the Exodus tie-in novel by Mel Odom. Someone told me it was supposed to be good. It's a fucking shit read. The story (up to page 200 so far) is abysmal, and clearly nobody looked through it before it was released.
Bs and Hs are constantly swapping places, so you get "hack" instead of "back". "Lie" also substitutes for the word "he" on more occassions than not. There's even been a sentence that starts, makes no sense, and then just ends at the end of a paragraph. Seriously. It looks like someone started to add something and then went "actually no" and never removed it.
Hellgate: London the game is 50x better than Hellgate: London: Exodus. Thank the maker it's a library book and I didn't spend a penny on it.
The crowning glory of this book though is that the high management people (Bill Roper etc.) and that PR/Story guy Ivan Sulic are credited as editors on it. If that many people actually read through this and thought it was good, then it's clear why Hellgate bombed.

i thought HG was great overall, just sucked as a MMO because it didnt go anywhere as far as content and the linear design of the gameworld (i mean imagine HG's gameworld more like EVE with safe zones and all out PvP zones, etc etc).
as far as gameplay, it is what it is, a 3D Diablo2 clone with a new setting.
