this should be left alone, it will not translate well from the psychadelic 60's feel to modern day. it will be the prisoner but not as we know it

It's really good. Though it gets really topsy-turvy near the end. Like really abstract kind of thing. It's really good. Tense at part. Very nice. But just near the end it's like... a headache sort of

I really liked the first two parts. I havent seen the original and I will ignore the nerd rages from people around. Solid actors all the way around and some great footage

i'm a huge fan of the original and i really liked the first two new episodes
it's a very different animal from the original, but not in a bad way
just.. different
like galactica was
they still have a chance to screw it up later on but i'm liking it so far
the original series is always worth watching.. but it's very sixties and british so some people might have a problem with that
i guess it helps if you think of it as if james bond had proper moral principles and then this happened to him

Saner is not being serious. Unless its the subject of Santa!

Ep 3 and 4 were badass
Spoiler: | Loved that line Mckellen delivered to 313 about her love for 6, although obvious it was right on the money |

well, shit
Spoiler: |
i really hated the ending
yes, it would be fine if it was an outer limits episode, but it kind of completely invalidates all the episodes before it
i really thought we were over and done with the "IT WAS ALL A DREAM, LOL" cliche that got to be so much of a cliche that it was a cliche in itself
i mean.. really?
i don't get why they bothered with the prisoner story when it's all bullshit in the end
and i so really liked the five episodes

Okay to begin with they discovered that there are multiple layers of conscience.
They created the village for this second conscience. When testing it i guess they discovered that people who had issues in the real world who had their second conscience put in the village got better. And so on..
Now the woman who spent most of the mini-series sleeping was the person who kept the village stable in this second conscience. When she woke up these holes would show up. Nr2 and (nr1 as she was the first one in the village) was probably very tired of being in the village so in the end they got nr6 and whatshernumber to take over. The girl will spend her time in the village sleeping to keep it stable.
I'm leaving a few things out and so on but that is roughly how i perceived the series |

yea, that's pretty much it
looking back on this after a few weeks, i can't but laugh
it's such an americanisation of the idea
the original ended with the thought that we're all prisoners - of society and of our own minds - and we will never be free
best we can do is keep up the struggle and do the best of our time here to make the world more free
the remake had the exact opposite.. everyone is free - and even if you're fucked, you can still be freed by people from beyond our reality
people having to struggle to keep themselves ignorant of the world they're living in or it will collapse like the fairies of peter pan
it's a profoundly religious look at the world and life in it, and a very american one
i honestly can't tell if it's very clever criticism or if they're ignorant of the parallels they draw and walk right into them
