So, I've decided to upgrade my laptop. I'll list a few requirements and few ideas I've found already and hope you can help me choose.

Display: 17"+
Memory: min. 4GB(hoping 4gb would not be the limit)
Gfx: min NVidia 240M / Radeon HD 4650
Processor: min Intel T6600 (2.2GHz) (Hoping for the P series 2,5+ GHz)

umm... Rest, I don't give a shit. This is for my holiday working and gaming. 17" is the bare minimum for the screen, I hate programming with my 15" notebook (ok, 15" is enough IF there's a 160/260M gfx, P8800 processor and 4 GB of memory, and it would be costing under 700€ Smile Razz

Before anyone says buy desktop... I have a desktop, the one in my sig.

I'm ready to put around 800 for this.

There is one catching my eye currently.

Fujitsu Siemens Pi 3660-c08
4Gb
T6600 2.2GHz
Nvidia 240M
18.4"
@ 799€

Can anyone find a better deal? The machine should be possible to order to Austria.

Thank you.

Don't you hav price comparison sites in Austria where you can simply enter the specs and get a list of laptops that match your specifications?

Something like this.

Ok, so I might as go and get it from Finland (I'm right now in Finland, going to Austria in 1 - 2 weeks, and staying there for.... 7 months or so)

I knew of geizhals, but yea, from that I could also find only the Fujitsu Amilo Pi.

Thanks.

Aren't the Austrian prices somewhat comparable to those in Germany? Ie. a lot cheaper than Finland usually. Most german retailers also send to Austria.

Well. The Fujitsu I found here is on a big discount. 1099€ original price 799 current. It's the one which goes for 789 or so in Austria (+shipping fee, OR + tax difference if ordering from Amazon) + I don't really like German keyboard Smile

I bought the Fujitsu and it's FUCKING! Good that is Smile So far it has played everygame on max settings at native reso 1600x920 or something. I haven't really tried the gfx intensive games like crysis, but I have played Borderlands, Dragon Age, King's Bounty Armored princess and Anno 1404.
