German 1.02 patch is out.

Some bugs and glitches fixed, not much but some of them looks like they could be problematic and even game breaking if I understood that translation properly.

Code:

Changes:
- Fix crashes in video sequences
- Fixes problem that runs in the music of two scenes on top
- Fixes to eingigen systems "hiccups" with some sound files
- Fixes some display problems when you return from the help function comes into play
- Fixes a display problem of inventory in the 6th Chapter

(Google.)

(As I understand it the first fix is for cutscenes, second issue is for music files being played over each other or how to say it, third bug is for some sound file causing stuttering and the fourth issue is for screen corruption when exiting the help functionality.)

First email to metaboli from the uk :

This is the important this they wrote " We confirm you that the release date is the 26/11/2009 " i dont know if they mean that for now this is the release date or that they are confirm it as the final release date for buy and download .


Second email responde i got from Focus and Gamesplanet.com :

So what we are know now that both sources said release date is 26/11/2009 . I dont know if they looked the website of the game or maybe they are working togeather but both said same release date and one source confirmed it !

Second none of them said Q1 2010 . I mean if they were knew they were saying Q1 2010 but both said that there was a delay ...etc...So delay mean its close and there is one confirmation .

I know it dosent mean a lot because there could be a new delay who knows...but since no one told me Q1 2010 im happy .

My guess that they are : Or fixing bugs from the german version so it wont be in the english version and since its a download version there is no problem to fix bugs before releasing the game . Or they want to release the game in the end of the month since other adventure games coming this end of the month like : Treasure Island and Book of unwritten tales maybe they want to compete...

I finished book of unwritten tales in german version with englsih text translation i made my self ! One if not the best adventure games of all times !

And treasure island the graphics just amazing even if its 3D ! Just a great game .

So this end of the month we are going to be happy Smile

Where do they get those release dates for treasure island and book of unwritten tales?
The publisher seems to be "The adventure company" for both games and yet I find NOTHING about either games on their site.

I wouldn't be too optimistic...

Both games The book of unwritten talea and Treasure island are publish by Dreamcatcher according to amazon.com and amazon.ca ( ca=canada ) .

Anyway camazon.com and amazon.ca say same release dates for both games .

So i sent an email to dreamcatcher and lets wait for them to responde me by email and see .

Dreamcatcher owns The Adventure company,so they are basically the one and the same.
Hopefully you'll get a response,but I won't hold my breath about them getting a rls next week.
So I won't go pre ordering just yet. Smile

Well it's availabe now for ppl who wanna get the digital version http://www.runaway-thegame.com/

Been playing it for a while and so far it seems good,but the resolution is f*cked up a bit. gotta play it at 1280x960 or 1280x1024 since my native res 1680x1050 looks like this:



But it doesn't look bad at 1280x960,so it's all good. Smile





Edit. And it seems the german crack works for the english rls.

If you got Nvidia you can easily fix that with monitor scaling settings from control panel (don't know how it works with ati).

ATI allows a form of hardware scaling with a few options that can help although compared to a custom resolution (Or running it windowed.) it might be a bit stretched out.

I just remembered that on Windows 7 the option for hardware scaling might be grayed out, in such case just lower the resolution one notch, set the scaling method and then set resolution back, it's one of the smaller CCC bugs but hopefully ATI will solve it eventually.
(Seems focus have been stability and fixing major issues with some new functionality addons in time for the 5000 series which in turn must be further optimized and tuned via driver improvements.)

It is out now(download version),but the retail won't be out until Q1 2010.

Alright, just finished the game.

It was a very good adventure game, albeit a bit on the short side (7-8hours). It tied up all the loose ends, and together with the previous two games, it makes for a series that should be played through by any adventure game fan.

The game's graphic style is consistent with the previous two games, there's a SHITLOAD of voice acting done and the script is funny.

Good game, 9/10. There's literally nothing i didn't like about the game, other than it being a bit too short for my taste.

Yup. I ran into two bugs, not gameplay related. First one: While in the inventory in the second chapter, the inventory title says Chapter IV. And the second: When talking to Dr. Reboot, his first voice line plays twice, like an echo. Nothing major.

Other than that the game is clean, pretty much.

I have completed the game too, and i believe within 7 hours, i feel disappointed that its a little too short as an adventure game.
I expected much more than this.
