Just thied a rls that recently appeared (Serious Sam HD: The First Encounter [Direct-Play]) and still annoys me with 'unable to load level'. I just don't get. Is there a special place where to extract/install the game in order not to vomit filthy messages like the one above. Diirect-play's rls notes are as simple as butt sex:
1. Unrar
2. Run "Bin\SamHD.exe"
3. Play!
Anybody???

There are two options at start-up. Egypt and Demo Karnak. No matter what of the two i choose it says it cannot load the level. I'm out of ideas (not that i had any in the first place Very Happy)...

not sure then human_steel, i just installed the release copied over files and the fix dll and started game and chose egypt and it worked right away... Sad

Does lanwork in this cracked release ? I bought the game legit for 2 diff. steam accounts but can't find where to host a lan game .... I then tried to create a online game which worked but the other pc didn't find the game in the server browser so no avail ....

So hopefully lan works here so I can delete this steaming pile of crap and play SS HD on my lan using the cracked version instead ...

Ok, there's a reloaded fix for it.

But, strange fix:

" This fixes the bug that occurs when pressing 'T'. "

Yup, if you change mouse/keyboard settings and open up console you'll see "Cannot save player settings" in red font. Probably has to do with steam cloud not fully cracked or something.

I`m not sure if this is what is causing the save player settings problem but remember, you have to have folder write permissions to write to files in some folders on vista and possibly same for windows 7.

Has anyone checked this out???, because I had write permissions problems before using vista when trying to save settings on software CCleaner and RocketDock.

There's only one thing i hate about this game: It has Auto Aim, and i can't disable it... WTF?

Does anybody have no sound on this game? I get a "Your xaudio2 dll is outdated, please update DirectX" when launching it, then no audio in-game.
I have the August 2009 version of DX on my PC, and just in case i installed the one that comes with the game, but the problem is still there... Windows 7 64bits

btw RELOADED version has crash on final boss too. Saves from RLD version don't work in SKIDROW version.

Hmm i just installed Skidrow release and now auto-aim is on; i didnt had this with reloaded release wth is going on

I guess multiplayer goes via Steam as well so you need a account and for that you also need to own the game so it's not really possible with a "cracked" version.
