Wow, System Shock 2? I knew this was low budget crap but using a 10 year old engine, damn!
Spoiler: |
I really should try Shellshock 2 for lulz.

Same as JBeckman, I actually stuck through it and completed the game on normal difficulty in about 40 minutes.
It's not hard at all, even if it does only take a few hits for you to die, you instantly respawn to the last checkpoint which is usually no more than 5ft away. It's basically a very bad game and very badly ported from xbox. It's about on par, possibly slightly better, than Soldier of Fortune 3 which was another appalling port.
The best thing about the game was probably the song they made of all the dialogue Mickey Rourke said throughout the game during the credits at the end.
Seriously folks, do yourself a favour and give this one a miss.

I didn't even bother installing the multiplayer section. When you go to install the game you're given the choice of "Online" or "Offline", i.e. if you want the multiplayer component, I didn't think it would work anyway so I just went for Offline.
It's not worth it even if multiplayer does work.

Online installation doesn't even work, starts or installs Steam and then asks for a key to register the game with before processing the SIM/SID files (It's similar to Dark Messiah in terms of setup.), unpacking the data manually might work but I don't think it will be a popular multiplayer title.

Sigh...and to think this could have been a great tactical 3rd person shooter about a unit operating behind enemy lines, all alone with limited resources.
"I think Call of Duty resonates because it's believable and relatable," Sledgehammer Games cofounder Michael Condrey says.
Believable and relatable...Yep, sounds like Call of Duty

This has got to be one of the worst games I've ever played.
What happened to the tactical shooter that zombie was developing? You know, the same developer who created the ORIGINAL squad realistic shooter "Spec Ops"
This game, before the focus was changed, could have been great. Now, we get this shit that reminds me of one of those budget bin shoots.. or even shellshock 2 :X

is this an existential media-political survival game chronicling the neverending struggle of Sarah Palin against the evil biased communist media?

Poor Mickey Rourke, he will do anything for some cash these days... I could only imagine what went through his mind while being presented with the "script" and having to read all that crap.

Downloaded, installed, played for 5 minutes, uninstalled, deleted. Hell I probably spent longer installing than actually playing. What a piece of crap this was... avoid if you haven't downloaded it yet.

Wow... the exact same thing happened to me. Wow I can't believe it, the game was horrible. Felt like I was playing a game from 2001...
1 and 2 are still amazing.

You're right. Well I guess you can't really place bad games in any era since they all have their gems and crap like this.
1 and 2 are still amazing.
