So anyone bought/'acquired' it yet? Thoughts?
Would really like to buy it now, but I know I wouldn't get anything else done this weekend if I did. Will have to wait until next week for me.

I bought it, it's like the first game, only a lot better and more refined.
It's very good, maybe the turnbased strategy of the year? - quite possibly.

Sounds good, any idea how long it is? I hate short games, especially in this genre...

Dunno, couldn't say but I'd definitely estimate it to be in the 40+ hour range.

What made you think I had anything to do with the development and subsequent release of that game, so that I might be held accountable for the state it's in?
If you want to discuss that game, go to it's own thread.

I know... but... it´s schedule for q4 2009 (according to wiki, hope they don´t delay it AGAIN) and it will definitely be better than king´s bounty.

I take care not judging a game that isn't even out yet, and has been postponed and cut of features multiple times, until I actually try it.
Thinking that it's the "best thing" without having even tried it, is stupid.

When I say that Armored Princess might be the best TBS strategy this year, I can only compare it to the games that are actually out there and have been released up to this point in time.

Had to try the warez version. GFX look even more colorful, cleaner, and smoother than the orignial game. I read the pdf docs and they added new race as well as more troops for humans, few additional neutral troops, etc. TONS Of new additions such as medals that give bonuses such as for defeating an army without losses, etc.

I wish you could actually buy this game somewhere OTHER than gamersgate. I bought two copies of King's bounty legends but can't find where to buy this one. No D2D, no Amazon?

I have a question about that release: Is that release english only because is Steam? There will be any Retail version in multi-language like the first one? There are another languages available in Steam?

I used to be a knee like you. Then I took an adventurer in the arrow.

Funny that I don't remember as I installed it only two days ago or so but the Gamersgate version might have had a language choice during installation, will look into it, Steam version should be the same but with the language selectable from Steam unless it's region specific what language/version of the game you see on their store page?

I don't use Steam. I am just interested in multi-language or my language version of this game, if available, but normally that Steam games released by scene include only the english files; so I must wait for another release, if any.

Game crashes for me constantly, but I think it is a driver issue. Using catalyst 9.11. Anyone else have this prob? Video gets all screwed up and computer reboots.

I basically get a BSOD with ATIKMDAG.sys error. Totally random times too, like just talking to someone and clicking a response or clicking a savegame to load.

Using the same computer as I did when playing King's bounty legends and never had a crash back then.

Try disabling Catalyst AI (Will disable crossfire when using a X2 card.) to see if that's the issue, 9.11 here as well and the only issue is the lack of AF even when forced (Driver issue, fixed in the 9.12 beta drivers though those in turn are based on a older code path than the 9.11 drivers are though they do have the 9.12 features and functionality though not much is known about that.)

THnks I played around with settings. Turns out if I disabled antialiasing in the game settings (not catalyst) no more problems.

BTW seems there are few bugs in this game. Morale seems to be not working properly many times. Paladins have Prayer ability that is supposed to resurrect/heal even plants and mechanicals units but it only works on living creatures.

To anyone who has already played Armored Princess : Is this as insanely difficult as the original?

The original was a fantastic and extremely addictive game, but the difficulty on medium was too extreme for me.

The normal dif it seems realy hard. Now you will have to watch your gold because many times I ran out of money to hire full army. the skills are more thought. I play as a Paladin.

GREAT, GREAT, GREAT feature is the 3D options. I have a pair of glasses from 3D cinema and the game looks amazing in 3D mode, no need of Nvidia expensive glasses or special LCD.

I love this game !

I'm playing on impossible as a mage, it isn't too hard if you choose your fights carefully. But I've read that the difficulty ramps up around half-way through the game...

I started on impossible as paladin level 12 so far. On the third-fourth island there is one army guarding navigation maps that are composed of 8 troops with 12000 hitpoints each. I have 3500 leadership at level 12. That fight would be damn hard even at double or triple my leadership. But I always go for trying to win fights without losing any troops. Can't afford to lose troops on impossible difficulty. Worse part is finding places to buy more troops. So far I only found one place to get paladins and I bought all of them, only 10 and only one place to buy 2 ogres and got 1 green dragon to join in orc treasury.

I am starting to think it might actually be impossible. King's bounty legends impossible difficulty was not this impossible.

In Legends I had no more fights left to pick when I got around the Dwarven Highlands, making it unable to gain experience to gain leadership for extra troops. All the fights were costing me too many troops, and that meant that my gold supply was rapidly dropping.

That was kind of pity about Kings Bounty Legends, you were so focussed on not loosing troops that you were avoiding very intense fights. It's fun to fight against an equal army and you winning with a few troops difference like you could in HoMM. But in Kings Bounty if you did that, you were screwed for the rest of the game.

Well bought it now - will play later today... From the looks of it they revamped the talents some. I recall the Mage specific talent being better, did they nerf it? Sad

Well, shit, I uninstalled this.

I got frustrated after the second tutorial battle (the one with the ents) , even on easy I got too many losses, only that fighters with the golden armor are any good.

I'd better wait for a darker game like Disciples, too, this is way too colourful Laughing
