The data differs a bit between the Eng and Rus versions (Like the .res archive I mentioned a few posts ago when trying to get the translation working.) so it's not easy to get them to co-operate albeit perhaps a unpacker could work to force the game to load the extracted files.
Movies are localized as well and can be uploaded without any problems aside from the filesize though it's not that big.
Using the English version as a clone is impossible as it's only available on Gamersgate for now and uses digital activation, EXE by itself will try to load the data differently and won't really work either from what little I tested.
(There's support for five - six or so languages in the English version compared to the Russian version, text can be swapped at will in the options menu as seen by those screens I packed and uploaded, not the best solution actually but they help getting trough the various menus, haha.)
Star-Force as such can be cracked as well (Russian version has a crack available, bit big as it unpacks that .res archive, perhaps it's encrypted, was done with other SF protected games though the protection hasn't really been used much outside of Russian publishers.) but I guess the limited distribution means no major groups will work with it. (Same with D2D and Steam titles unless they're somewhat major albeit ripping them is possible via various loaders and similar.)
That said there isn't much to the story, viral outbreak (Some worm thing, made apparent about four or so minutes in the game during the introduction movie and initial sequence where you fight those zombie things and their fat boss who attacks you with quick time events en masse or how it's spelled, even for the first level there's a ton of those little events but thankfully you can lower the difficulty of them and just breeze past without suffering various deaths due to timing or pressing the wrong button, haha.)

Ninja Blade / ND Games
RELEASE DATE : 20-11-2009 PROTECTION : StarForce
GAME TYPE : Action DISKS : 1 DVD
Release Notes:
The Skid Rowdies are looking new blood to fill up the ranks.
We're a professional team of dedicated sceners with big mark
under sceners. We believe on the ground idealism of the root
of the real old school scene. We do all this for fun and
nothing else. We don't earn anything on our hobby, as we do
this for the competition and the heart of what got the scene
started in the mid eighties.
If you think you got something to offer, then don't hold back
on contacting us as soon as possible.
twice the fun \/ double the trouble
On with the game release information:
It was July 7th, 2011.
While investigating reports of unlawful weapons trafficking,
peacekeeping forces encountered an unclassified carnivorous
species occupying a small village in Northern Africa. These
rabid creatures were easily provoked and resistant to
conventional attack. Eight specimens were encountered in the
region now referred to as "Ground:ALPHA"... Only four were
successfully contained for study. Victims of the attack were
quarantined at a research facility nearby. These victims
displayed signs of internal liquefaction and accelerated
necrosis, similar to symptoms of other flesh-eating viruses
native to that region.
But it wasn't a viral outbreak. It was a parasitic
infestation. A previously unidentified species of hook worm
was found beneath the skin of the Ground: ALPHA specimens.
These parasites, we call them "Alpha-worms", laid dozens of
eggs inside their hosts, which in turn produced numerous
larvae. These larvae penetrated the bloodstream and triggered
a variety of genetic failures. However, unlike most genetic
failures, these symptoms were not fatal. Instead, infested
victims were larger, stronger and driven by hunger. Using the
research gained from the Ground: ALPHA specimens, a team of
some special individuals were assembled. Minor outbreaks
occurred over the next few years, but elite squad quickly put
them down. Which brings us to the current situation in
Tokyo...
Exciting and challenging battles with 3 different weapons
QTE and cinematic action
Variety of powerful ninja abilities
Weapon and ninjutsu upgrade system
Crisscross the city of Tokyo with intense gunfights
Install Notes:
1. Unpack Release
2. Mount/Burn Image
3. Install Game
4. Copy the content from the SKIDROW directory on the DVD to
your installation directory and overwrite
5. Play the game

Not bad actually, just finished the first mission. The game is 40% QTE, 30% fighting and 30% platforming.
Overall, the combos are nice, so are the 3 weapons plus the dark sector like shuriken. The animations are top notch, at least for the main character. Character movement is pretty fluid, none of that Star Wars Force Unleashed crap.
There's settings for difficulty of the quick time events, so they're very easy to perform if set to.
The story resembles Resident evil somewhat, only with japanese blademasters added. The cutscenes are quite long, yet entertaining and the quick time events are pretty bad-ass.
Does have a few flaws, like xbox controller buttons shown on screen in quick time events. Luckly the keyboard controls are displayed over aswell. There's no mouse pointer in the main menu, the screenshots posted above, but none of that is gamebreaking.
Overall, i'd say 7/10 game, good time waster.

Game runs at 60fps for the most part at max settings and 4xAA + vsync. It's nice cos console version was only 30 fps and in games like this you really need 60.
