Just got this installed and one of the first things it tells me to do is use the scroll wheel to zoom in and out and for some reason the game does not recognize my Microsoft Intellimouse Explorer 4.0 forward or backwards scrolling of the wheel. Just wondering if anyone has encountered this or might know of a fix other then picking a different key.

Different drivers ? Or isn't there some option to temporarily disable the mouse program ?

I tried both with and without the Windows 7 Official MS Mouse software. I was running without the software at first and nothing happened when scrolling the wheel. On Windows Update they had the official update as an optional install so I tried that and the wheel works occasionally but it just does not seem to respond every time and I could not even get it to scroll all the way close like if I just hold down the page up/ page down keys. This was a popular mouse not too long ago and this has been the first game that has not recognized the wheel.

You mean it works some times and others not ? Check the options especially some option about scrolling, I remember an option about whether to scroll 1 line or 3 lines.

I looked through the game options and the scrolling speed number did not make a difference. It may scroll out if I spin the wheel for 30 seconds and then it does not do it smoothly like when I use page up or down. It will stop at random places or if I try to scroll back in, nothing happens. When the mouse wheel works fine in 99% of everything I do and not in 1 game, I know it is a game issue and their official forums are so screwed up, you cannot even do keyword searches correctly.

Thanks, that link was helpful as at least I am not the only one suffering from the problem. I guess I will switch the scroll in and out to Q and E for the time being and use WASD for the character movement.

Make sure you are not running logitech setpoint or any other mouse button mapping software.
