How many people are considering moving to the PS3 now it seems that online gaming demands an original untouched 360 console?
Please no fan boy rants, just an honest reflection of your own choice and why you decided so.
updated: Also please comment on Sony & MS in talks about fitting Blu Ray drives to future 360 consoles as part of your purchase choices.

i'll probably buy one since 2 of my 360's have been banned, would like a bluray player now ive got a hd tv plus i only play cod 5 online every few days so xbox live is not cheap.
id also like to play uncharted and some other games only on the ps3 plus id like to play everybodys golf against my friend online (sad aint i).
it will cost me nearly the same to buy a ps3 plus i dont have to pay a live fee and theres a few games for the ps3 id like to play.

I have one Wii, two 360's, and one ps3
I must say that I find myself using the ps3 the most. Games are great, blurays are amazing (must have 100+ in my collection now), no monthly fees for playing online, nice store/marketplace, and one thing I like is that I find it much less noisy than the xbox.
Also they say that the ps3 hasnt reached its full potential yet, game developers arent using using the system to its fullest yet, so ther will be nicer/bigger/epicer games! 
If you ask me:
wii is for kids, xbox is for teens, ps3 is for adults. Get the ps3

I would still get 360 for online. Multiplatform games always end up better on 360 and I hear horror stories about PS3's online features.

im only getting ps3 for the exclusives, and the fact that i dont have to pay for it, hehe. ive no idea what the ps3 online features are like, but its free, so thats a bonus  ill still play the xbox more i think, as all my m8s are on live, and mines still not banned i dont know of 1 person banned where i live!! i look forward to checking the ps3 out

Well, you can get horror stories about everything in this world.
PSN was not good at first, but it grew and today its just as good as live.
Live does have some interface advantages and other stuff, but nothing thats worth 50bucks a year when its free on PSN.
For instance, COD4. I played this for a year on the 360 and then tried the ps3 version, online was just as lag free and finding games was no trouble at all.

i will not move over to ps3. i will sell my 360 without hdd and buy an arace put my hdd there and flash it with new fw Litetouch...end of story..when ps3 gets hacked then i consider buying one but now i think i never will

I agree. i have not had any problems at all playing PSN and I own both systems.
I think it plays just as good as XBOX LIVE and it is free to boot.

I refuse to pay the subscription fee for Xbox live and then got pissed at the way they treat silver account holders like 2nd class citizens with exclusive gold content.
Online gamming is free on PS3 and to be honest I think its better, the only thing good about Xboxlive is the arcade part.

Sticking to the box. Most of my buddies play on Live! so I see no reason to get a PS3 really.

We got 3 Xbox 360 with 1 flashed for my son who doesnt play online , both me and my wife play on own Xbox and buy all games original (sometimes we download a game for my wife on the flashed one) , also own a PS3 and sofar I prefer gaming on the Xbox 360 , the PS3 is used for the games that dont show up on the Xbox.
Sofar I prefer Live over PSN

it does have private voice chat ,even video chat... and yeah any brand of mic/cam can be used thats USB or Bluetooth...even a cell phone

To be honest I used to think that PSN was rubbish compared to Xbox live. but its got a hell of a lot better, the only reason I keep the Xbox is due to Left 4 dead 1 and 2 if they came out on PS3 the Xbox would be given to a relative.
The PS3 just makes more sense to me.

Good games on it now....
I'm not a fan of any brand or maker, but the Xbox hardley gets turned on unless its for a round of Left 4 dead.

Out of all the other comments I agree with this the most.
Having been a gamer for pretty much all of my life, (as far back as the c64) I've had almost every console ever released. We are definitely in the golden age for choice
That being said, I think each one has its pros and cons - meaning it is worth owning both. IMO the good things about the PS3 are better than the good things about the 360 - BUT that makes me sound like a fanboy unless I explain myself soooo  ...
*Free online play- Can't argue with that, does what it says on the tin sorta thing.
*Blu-ray player - best quality available and again explains itself.
*Built in wifi - again, self explanatory, xbox wireless plugin costs £30+ from what could have so easily been built inside..
*Better exclusives. - this one is of course 100% based on opinion that being said I enjoy the PS3 exclusives WAY more than the 360 ones (uncharted 2 currently being my fave game of the past 3 years by 100 miles) not to mention Demons souls, MGS4 etc. Sorry, gears of war/halo just dont cut it for me 
*Reliability is better on PS3. - In 4 years since launch my buddy hasn't had a single hiccup with his console which I then bought from him. Granted I got the yellow light of death recently I think 4 years lifespan is great considering xbox 360's seem to RROD incredibly frequently (2 of mine in less than a year)
*xbox does have a more lively community BUT PS3 community is more 'mature'.- argue with this all you like, but its just fact that there are less 13 year old mouthy teenagers in your ear when playing online PSN than XBL 
Well, just my two cents.
and one petty thing about both consoles which I dont like is the noise. Both are pretty noisy from my experience.. although I just got the ps3 slimline and it seems *slightly* quieter when the fans are in full swing.
Conclusion : Just buy both and have the best of both worlds - Xbox flashed is a great little keeper, whereas for online and exclusives go on PS3 with its free network. Sony where definitely slow off the mark when it came to games (PS3 HAS NO GAEMZ  ) but we are now getting some seriously good releases along with some even better ones on the way, 2010 is going to be a great year for the ps3 imo.

I´m not getting a new xbox just because I got banned. Actually I´m not planning to give them any more money at all. At least they would have had the fee I pay them every month if they didn´t bann me. Now they get nothing. I wasn´t really playing any live at all the last year anyway, so maybe this was for the best. Demos I care shit about. Achievmentpoints likewise.
PS3 is far more interesting then. LBP, Uncharted2, demon souls. Free mp as mentioned already a couple of times. I can always take off the taxes if I buy it for my company (1/4 here in sweden). Yep, might get me one.

I have my Release 60gig PS3 and my 60gig 360="yep still working after 1-1/2 yrs" nice to have a choice only games I'm looking forward to on the 360 LFD2/BFBC2 and the rest are on the PS3.....

I have 1 non flashed xbox360 for my bought games and 1 flashed for the downloaded games.
When people are banned that means they don't want to buy games. So that would be a total retarded reason to switch to ps3. Just don't flash your 360 and buy your games and you will never get banned.

Got a PS3 3 weeks ago. Fuck Live, 60$ a year to play online. Ive been playing a lot at MW2 on PS3 and to be honnest, the only thing i hate is their mic. Its way too sound sensitive. The guy scratch his balls and the mic pick it up. So i just end up muting everyone with a mic.
On Live you pay fro premium themes and you see only half of it. fuckin hated that shit since day one. Same with normal themes. Atleast on PS3, you can put your own Wallpaper.
MS can go fuck themselves. Im not one of those retards who will play their scam and go buy another 360 to boost the sales for the Holidays.
Also, PS3 has a Web Browser that the 360 dont have...and MS own fuckin Internet Explorer.

Well by reading comments looks like most people (not all) will be purchasing a PS3 over another xbox360 & a good choice why not have the Both,I already owned a PS3 b4 my xboxgot banned in this latest wave of bannings so no reason for me to go out & buy another xbox360.
if this average is anything to go by then MS have done sony a big favour by banning 1million+ xbox360 from live I guess a lot will go out & purchase another 360 but a majority will go & buy a PS3

my xbox is banned since weekend but i won't move to ps3. why? i own some org. 360 games ( like gta 4, forza 3, dragon age etc.pp. ) and my friends own a 360 too, so i can't borrow games etc.
ps3 is a great deal, no doubt, but it's useless for me.

I'll buy a PS3 at somepoint. Purely for exclusives as buying for bluray imo seems pointless (especially as the PS3 Slum has a worse BR drive).
Will also stick with xbox as I prefer live on it and its good for exclusives and multiplatform.
