I'm just wondering which MMORPG server emulators there are out there, and which are good, and so on. I hear there is a really good one for Ragnarok Online for instance. If anyone is in the know, please supply some info about these emulators, thank you.

Well I play Ragnarok Online on one of the emulated servers and its quite a fun. There are also many Lineage 2 free servers (although there are some problems lately, cause its hard to download a good installer). I also heard sth about Final Fantasy XI emulated server, but don't know if its true.

Lineage 2
World of Warcraft
Asherons Call
Dark Age of Camelot
All of these have been emulated (or attempted to be emulated)!

Yes, but are the emulators any good? For instance, The WoW-servers are buggy, unstable and pretty much worthless from what I've heard.

The emulators for Ragnarok are quite good, and I say it from my own experience. Planning to try one of the Lineage 2 servers this night so I'll report later  .

imo lineage 2 aint that good on emulated servers, all quests are gone and the more valuable items have to be given by the operators cause the town in wich they could be bought aint working. Then again it was a few month i played it so some things might have been improved.

i have tried many world of warcraft emulators.. don't use wad 1.2.1 server.. it's the wors piece of shit i have ever tried.. use old closed beta servers like wsd and python, they are much more fun

Lineage 2 is the best - especially on the Escape server. Dont be fooled - there are several L2 servers, but the official L2 chronicals 1 server was leaked and there ARE servers with all skills and quests etc. Check out ragezone for more. Peace,
