guess its shield in primary weapon slot + pistol + knife

Crappy guess, my guess it takes up secondary items slot (C4, claymore etc).

Hope that's no the case, you need to lose something more important to get a shield.

Well, that's the point of shields, no? Razz On the other hand, you move much slower, have other limited inventory, etc.
