i downloaded Call.of.Duty.Modern.Warfare.2.STEAM.ENGLISH off usenet. can i install the game while waiting for a crack or do files have to decrypted or something....?? this is getting confusing...

No, gotta wait for Steam to enable the game to be able to extract the files from the SID files. Then gotta wait for a crack, but maybe a loader will work.

thanks. anyway i believe the version i downloaded (Call.of.Duty.Modern.Warfare.2.STEAM.ENGLISH) is messed up. Forces me to install steam, also it asks me for a key to install the game. There's no such key in the .nfo and the one i found on the net tell me (the key isn't valid for your region). I guess i'll just have to wait for proper scene release...

Proper scene release will use the same files you have with a custom installer to extract the files. The key it asks you for is for Steam. Like I said, if you use a crack or a loader, you won't need a key. Meh, finished it already (thanks to somekind of steampatcher that was uploaded on my ALT) and the campaign itself was quite good. There is an improvement. MW1 Campaign = 3 hours MW2 Campaign = 5 hours Anyway, it's quite laughable. Still way too short...
