HOLY FUCK, the jizz is still warm in my pants after watching this. The amount of detail is just insane!
For instance, it seems more of a stealth game than newest Splinter Cell since you can actually MOVE bodies (and you won't be able to do that in Conviction).
Another thing- when you go to the chop shop you can pick your tires, choose paint color on different parts of the car, hell, you can even change EACH NUMBER on the license plate! Also you can include a supercharger... I mean Jesus!
The police system is just GENIUS, they're not all knowing like in GTA IV, when they lose sight of you they don't know where you are!
The amount of clothes for Vito is just incredible, I also loved the mini-sidemissions.
And, there are TITTAYS in the game!
Also the radio stations are cool...

well , i'm reserved , sure side missions are nice but GTA series is way to full of them , GTA IV was fucking annoying as hell to play if you had all girlfriends , and wanted respect 100% from everybody .
Mafia only had a few sidemissions for Luca Bertone and it was just great like that , i few more won't hurt as long as they don't add more than 5 hours or less of sidemissions
oh and i really liked how the mechanic presented each car for you in the first game , sadly tho i see nothing of that sort ..
still , game's gonna kick serious ass as long as they don't do a GTA IV and port the fucking thing , highley unlikey tho since it made it's reputation ON THE PC

You don't have to do the sidemissions, and AFAIK they are implemented into the story just like in the videos, you don't have to go to Luca or anyone, you just meet certain people on your way, and if you want to, you can refuse to take a mission. So what's the problem?

i'm the kind like to explore the shit of the world and do what can be done in it , so it's kinda frustrating to spend so much time on some pety missions that way outrank a 'made man'

But still, I see your point. I do all available missions myself too.
I'm still speachless in front of the incredible amount of detail showed in those videos.
Everything is simply perfect, from animations to musics, from voice acting to physics...I'm definitely impressed.
Yes, again we shall see the wonders of GPU accelerated paper and falling boxes, completely ignoring games (like The Force Unleashed, Bad Company 2, etc) that achieve so much more with the CPU of consoles alone. I am so excited!

Don't forget Red Faction! I'd love to see PhysX pull of THAT kind of devastation, on CPU alone, and remain playable
Are there any cool mods for the first game? Just installed now after 7 years lol and wanted to play again? Any graphic mods or other ones? Mafiascene site is down at downloads section.
Snow mod is worth installing, very well done. You can try going for Huge Traffic Mod (or sth like that, can't tell now when mafiascene is down). I enjoyed Kanala's bomb mod (you can plant bombs in free ride). As soon as Mafiascene is back up again you should just read descriptions of mods and see which one suits your needs.
