Not sure about the stats (I've not installed it yet) but the readme does make note of the game being easier on EASY now, and also boosting buffs/damage/defence for the player team on Normal.

Oh and yes, it was cracked by ViTALiTY.

My GOD... this game just never ends! I love it! Just when I think I'm starting to make progress in the game, in the storyline, I get thrown into another three dozen quests -- all spanning the depth and breadth of the world.

Seriously, I LOVE IT! Bioware has outdone themselves with this gem, they really have. SW-KoTOR? Pah, GTFO pretender. Jade Empire? Meh, trash in comparison. Mass Effect? DIAF, foo'. Baldur's Gate? ahhh, now there's an equal. Yes, that's right - I said it. EQUAL. Get over it, bitches, and embrace the truth. BG has a true equal, finally!

Maybe, but it's still nowhere near Torment...

It is grand tho Very Happy

How are you supposed to open locked chests if you are not a rogue? I already encountered a whole bunch of chests in the first area in Ostagar (woods area where you get the viles of darkspawn blood) but can't open them. I have Allistair and the two non-companions Daventh and Jory. One of them is a rogue but doesn't have the skill to open chests.

How long am I supposed to play through the game and just ignore locked chests before I get a real rogue in my party?

Put it this way; if you're not a Rogue in your Human Origins story .. kiss those chests in Ostegar goodbye. Forever. Cool Face

You get a proper Rogue in your party once you leave Ostegar.

Well, there is the object needed for Morrigan's personal quest. I'm not sure if the chest it's in is locked or not though.

I'm a mage and am still near the beginning in Ostagar (spelling? haven't played in a few days because I'm getting ready to move) Anyway, when I go on that quest I got the three companions - one of which is a rogue (I've forgotten his name but he's the one who got recruited after stealing someone's purse). And he's opened every locked chest I've found so far.

Edit: just checked, Daveth is his name.

Yea I have him too but he doesn't have any points put into the open chest skill line! Your guy does? Are the skills he starts with random?

When you got Daveth as a temporary companion was he able to unlock chests for you? Someone was saying he did for them but in my game he doesn't have any poiints in that skill line.

Nope, he couldn't unlock a single chest (I tried, repeatedly)

'Tis* quite simple. Let me explain:

You open with [spoiler] and here is where you put the stuff that people consider spoiling their fun, in the case they have not experienced this themselves and then you close it with [/spoiler].

I recommend hinting at what's behind the spoiler tag, too, 'cause otherwise you don't know what you should click on and what not. A proper example would be:

After Ostagar
[spoiler]I raped an elf. LOLWUT?![/spoiler]

Wrong would be:

Did someone
[spoiler]EHEH I'M RIDING A DRAGON TO THE MOON[/spoiler]

*Yeah, 'tis how i roll. 'tis 'tis 'tis'.

+dezztroy: That's how I feel, too. Maybe she would mellow out if you used quote tags.

I think I spoke too soon. He opened the first three chests I came to. None of the ones in the wilderness though. Not that it matters any more. I wouldn't worry about him.
