Can someone who can download the toolkit take a look to see if they can do anything with the erf files?

Thanks!

I just tried to open my Shale DLC 2DA.ERF. It comes up with a dialog box asking what version of ERF I'm opening, then asks me for a protection type and password. Which is unusual since generally it just opens stuff.

The protection types are None, Protected, XorEncrypted and Blowfish Encrypted.

Yea kinda expected that, but if were lucky, dectription key may even be stored in that Profile file.

Btw profile.dap can be opened/edited in toolkit, in pretty readable/usable form.
Just setting SAVEPROFILE_CONTENT_ENABLED to 1 isn't enough, probably content token needed too(which is perhaps same as encryption password).

And content_user may also be changed. You can even see and edit email in it and in case of sharing there is personal achivement data.

Damn the Redcliff questline is hard. It has been a long time since I had to reload several times. Even on normal this game is challenging.

Hm. I defeated the group of cultist in front of the Spoiled Princess, but the journal still says that the barkeep is too afraid to talk (and has the general dialogue options). No attacks on the road, no leads to follow.

What now?

(Didn't say witch quest, so no spoilers there.)

Yeah but if content tokens are uniquely assigned and _arent't_ encryption password that doesn't mean much.
If content tokens are password or are same between different users for other reasons it's "dlc for everyone" time.

Yeah, because...
 Spoiler:

And I seriously doubt that searching for a legendary artifact would be just to kill a small group of cultist in front of a backwater tavern (no pun intended Very Happy ). I think if those who already reached that part of the game would know what I'm talking about.

So anyone knows if I ran into a bug or did I just miss something?

Exactly. I think we need testers from yesterday with sabins file.

And ZMED use spoilers for EVERYTHING that has anything to do with story!

Serously, what's the big deal? It revealed nothing about the story. It was no more revealing than saying that you'll get ambushed by darkspawn in random encounters.

When I have to reveal a part of the story (like my little quick-save "accident" that was only solveable with easy-mode), I use spoilers. When I can avoid using the tags, I will. Seriously guys... Sad

Because you are revealing the details of an encounter, so now people who are going to get to that part - are not going to be surprised when it happens. That is the definition of a spoiler. Saying MARIO jumps on someones head isn't a spoiler. Saying MARIO has to jump on the head of a KOOPA if he wants to unlock the WIZARDS TOWER is a gameplay spoiler. It may not be a storyline spoiler, but it is a spoiler nontheless (just like all these unspoiled posts detailing where to get specializations - some people actually want to WORK for it).

Well, after talking with the guy, it was the most preditcible and least suprising twist in the history of gaming for me. I got careless, so sorry about it.

So can anyone answer please? Razz

EDIT: oops, just remembered that there's a journal I got from the house...

My GOD... this game just never ends! I love it! Just when I think I'm starting to make progress in the game, in the storyline, I get thrown into another three dozen quests -- all spanning the depth and breadth of the world.

Seriously, I LOVE IT! Bioware has outdone themselves with this gem, they really have. SW-KoTOR? Pah, GTFO pretender. Jade Empire? Meh, trash in comparison. Mass Effect? DIAF, foo'. Baldur's Gate? ahhh, now there's an equal. Yes, that's right - I said it. EQUAL. Get over it, bitches, and embrace the truth. BG has a true equal, finally!

I'm finished with my first playthrough now, as a human champion, took 32 hours and it was 20% completion or so. I mainly went for the main quest. I'm about to dive in now as a diff character and pretty much try and do everything possible and play on normal only or harder. Should be fun! Very Happy

P.S. The ending was pretty epic! Twisted Evil

Yep, first game in a long time where I have logged over 40 hours in few days in a single game and still have about 40% left to explore of the world (god bless flu and sick leave from work Very Happy )
