Seems my R4 won't play some of the new games out there.
Can anyone suggest what to buy?

i dont know any games that dont work on R4 after newest firmware or some hex editing or any other sometimes tedious alterations of the orignal rom, i havent tested the latest mario game though.
But these cards got so cheap it doesnt hurt getting a new one , acekard as the posted above said is cheap and does everything you need.

im looking to get a new flashcart as i just bought my daughter a dsi with the new 1.4 firmware ,
so my question is which flash cart is the best and where in the uk is the best place to purchase one |

I have played both kingdom hearts and mario/luigi bowsers inside story and they work on...
