Or select the character you want to gift in the inventory screen, then right-click the gift item and select the option.
Here's a question of my own and it's important - but involves the Soldier's Peak DLC, so only read the spoiler if you've completed it >_>
Spoiler: |
At the top of Avernus' tower, there's a vial of potion that promises to unlock the final potential of the tainted blood you ingested during the Joining. I saved beforehand and then tried it -- and it does, indeed, grant some very impressive new skills ("Power of Blood" tree, with a selection of skills) -- but what are the drawbacks? I've noticed in these sort of games that nothing THIS good ever comes for free, so what happens if I do drink the potion and carry on with the game?

Spoiler: | praying gets rid of all the water in the jug... am i missing something? |
|
anyone know? pretty stuck here lol |
well i pretty much told you step by step what to do, but besides that, its all described IN the game (journal or quest or something, just search for it). |
Spoiler: | Stuck here aswell, i did the ritual wrong the first time and fought some elementals, only thing i can see in the quest log is that i sprung a trap and now when i put the full jug on the altar and pray the water goes away |
Any pointers?

I've gotten up to kissing Morrigan so far, you just have to play along in conversations and answer the questions etc like she would. She isn't exactly a good person, you'll have to be a little evil. |
Naw, she isn't exactly evil, most of her behavior comes from her mother, Flemeth. She's lived in the wild since she was little and she has been taught animal wits, she is more true neutral I would reckon, does not acknowledge the norms of society... love, morality, and despises anything that locks her down... she really wants to be free, but the longer she discovers society the more that perspective becomes challenged, and on occasion she struggles with the rules of her mother. I'm up to 84 (Adore) with her at the moment, and once you understand her, it's not too hard. She's a very 'nature must have it's course' type of individual. She thinks people needs to be strong, and solve their own problem... just like she did (if you bothered listen to her dialogue, she tells you quite a lot of her background).

How the hell does trap detection work in this game, I started a Dwarf Commoner Rogue with 18 dex and 16 cunning and the Deft Hands skill and I don't see any trap marker or red outlines for traps. Yet I keep triggering them and hitting them. What is the point of rogue who cannot find traps?

It's the same skill that constructs traps, and your cunning score helps you with the detection ability. I've found that if you have it at level two, you can detect most traps. Although I needed level four for some more complex trigger-plate traps.

Vini wrote: | Some of you guys are going to love this. Others might hate me for being a "cheater". But I simply wanted my warrior to be able to open locked containers. So I found a way to add talents! My Warrior can now open locks and use stealth (just for fun). If you don't want to use it - don't read the spoiler.
Spoiler: | You have to run the game with the -enabledeveloperconsole parameter. Create a shortcut to daorigins.exe and add it at the end.
Once in the game use ~ to "open" a console. It's actually invisible but still there. A way to test it is to start typing runscript command. Once you hit first letter 'r' a bunch of white text will appear on the top of the screen. When you type the whole command in and hit enter there will be no visible confirmation of any kind but if you check your talent menu you will have the said talent added.
Actual command:
runscript addtalent ###
some talent ###:
4020 - Rogue section of talents (add this first and then the others below)
100001 - Deft Hands
100002 - Improved Tools
100003 - Mechanical Expertise
100004 - Device Mastery
100075 - Stealth
100076 - Stealthy Item Use
100077 - Combat Stealth
100078 - Master Stealth
There are MANY MANY more talents out there but I didn't have the time to look for them yet. Plus allot of combinations will only open after Specialization is taken.
I'm am first to post this on the interwebz. I checked . Praise me lockpicking lovers
Some other interesting but cheating commands:
runscript zz_party_addgifts (add a bunch of gifts to the inventory. I'm guessing high level gifts)
runscript zz_givearmor (gives a set of Dragonbone armor)
runscript zz_money ### (self explanatory)
runscript addxp ### (self explanatory)
runscript removetalent ### (self explanatory)
and lots of others that I'm too lazy to list here.

Damador , you might want to put that in spoiler tags.
Specialization requires either a specific trainer or a book (buy from merchant) as well as a free specialization point (you get at specified levels).
Trainer list has been posted here frequently, use the search (trainer).

how much did they cost you? and did it worked on a cracked DA:O?
when do you benefit most of the DLC? when just beginning the game? |
Total? About £14, and yes - they work just fine on a cracked copy, as long as you login with your EAWare account.
As for benefiting? You gain access to both sets of DLC as soon as you leave Lothering.
