There's a trainer out there from ReUnion, if you're using that, that crashes the game. It's been reported and talk about and I as well can confirm that the ReUnion +2 trainer causes the game to crash very frequently.

And to add, hoping the DLCs get cracked soon, looks like I won't have the cash to buy this masterpiece until next month.. or after christmas blah =(

Cheers

I really like this game, but I do think it's pretty annoying that they didn't include some useful scripts to use with the different characters. I think it's nice that they have made it possible to make some complicated scripts yourself. But I'm actually not very interested in that, I just miss simple but useful scripts like in Baldur's Gate 2 like the Mage protector (or something like that) that worked great on a fighter who came running whenever the mage was in trouble but could still go out and fight enemies without the player being forced to guide him all the time. Another good one was the archer with ranged combat as first priority and then switching to melee when the enemy got to close.
I see similar things in this game but I don't see my npc's actually doing that stuff (sometimes they won't even attack!).

Maybe I'm just to old for this shit (but I am a veteran of all the old rpg's back to the early 90's) I just think that Bioware overcomplicated the script making while providing a few completely useless to choose.

Or am I missing something??

I'm loving this game, it's absolutely fantastic! So indepth and full of things to do and explore. My only annoyance is the conversation system, without any kind of indication whatsoever; you can just suddenly end a conversation and the other person walks off, or doesn't talk to you any more. Not even just for "bad conversations" where you anger the person, but EVERYTHING. Sometimes I want to pump that person for more information, but you don't even get the chance because any one of the 6+ conversation choices can suddenly break all questioning Sad

It's really, really, REALLY fucking irritating.

About conversations, isn't it strange that whenever a conversation or ingame cutscene runs, all your different clothing disappears so you can only see your basic clothes. And if that wasn't strange enough, I there have actually been 2 or 3 scenes where everybody had all their gear visible. Bug? Or just a poor design choice?

Anyway, I love the game, if I only could get my party to work together with some good scripts...

Personally, I'm more annoyed with the cutscene movies themselves. They're obviously made with the in-game engine, so why not have them real-time ffs? It's kind of jarring to have your party equipped, and looking, a certain way - only to have that undermined when a pre-recorded cutscene plays and shows them all looking entirely different >_<

Amen to that Smile But I guess they must have made a few movies in game and not pre rendered, since I swear that I have seen a few where my mage is wearing that ridiculous acolyte hat Very Happy

I finally got a fucking thief in my party!! YIPPEE!! Stupid locked chests were tempting me almost into insanity...

___________

Oh and I've noticed a bug now too Sad It's only just started doing it, but voices tend to go AWOL during cutscenes. Sometimes someone will say a line, you see their lips moving and you read the text, but there's no voices -- then the next line the voices come back. Irritating Sad

I seem to have freaked out a certain party member a bit by getting intimate with another so now those two fight more than ever, ah well.

I know. I missed the whole fucking scene in the beginning (for a mage) where the guy goes bloodmagic psycho. I hit escape out of habit as I read fast and next thing I know everyone is getting up off the ground. They need to make escape skip only that line of dialogue and not to the end of all the dialogue.

I've only just made it out of Ferelden, into Lothering (lol.. 7hrs+ gameplay and I'm only that far. Sometimes being a completionist sucks, you take too long doing anything Razz) and just got my Thief. She's awesome.

As for that scene? Yeah man! I've been LOLing for real over the banter between my party members, especially those two in question. Seems he's getting a touch jealous about my sexual exploits. Oh and now I have another female in the party, she's getting bedded soon too Laughing

Whole interface looks to be overcomplicated and at the same time there are couple of options that are not there.

I really miss couple of thing from Drakensang. First, that button that quickly switches party behaviour from passive to all out aggressive.
And even more important, buffer for spells and abilities. Why can't we just order a mage to cast two or three spells at once and not have to switch back to him all the time???

Learn to use the pause, and the tactic settings in combination with the free move and standby toggle.

If anyone's so inclined, you can search around the normal places for Dragon.Age.Origins.Prima.Official.Game.Strategy

It's too much cheating for me though. It'll be nice to have when I finish the game so I can see what I missed.

That guy is an ass, just use your EA account on the Bioware site.
Douchebag

Rolling Eyes

He's telling the truth, ffs. I went through the same "Step 2" loop that hundreds of other went through ... and I *have* an EA account. It didn't work for countless people, who flooded the forum and complained about it.

The social site is very much a "beta". Very Happy I imagine it will take a few more weeks before things settle down. I'm actually considering waiting for that time to come before I register my game.

Luckily, though, the game itself is much better.

No shit Sherlock. I'm doing that, its just that it takes too much micromanaging. Instead of setting my mage to cast four spells one after another, archer to unleash all his specials to some other guy and the micro fighter/rogues, I must set one spell, set one ability, micromanage rogue and his abilities then go back to them right after that spell is cast to set another one.

Aye, it's definitely beta - and at least my account woes were fixed within 24hrs, but to call someone a douchebag and dismiss them as such, just because they were experiencing these issues, is wrong.

Nah, male - but I think he has a crush on me, or that he's pissy with me for bagging the only two female party members we have. Maybe he'd like a go at my dog, instead? They do seem to have some pretty witty banter going back and forth between them Cool Face

That's exactly what I LIKE about this game. This isn't diablo or an RTS. Later on in the game queuing actions would do nothing but get you killed. You need to pause, think out a strategy, do it, wash, rinse, repeat. That's by design. If you don't like it then I guess this game isn't for you. Simple.
