guess time will tell, we still got the activate disc.
and something tells me we wont see a big gap between 1.61 and 1.7

I'm still waiting for abgx to finally release their updated software..then I can go and update my firmware. When does abgx usually update themselves..I know, no one knows, but I would like to know how long it usually takes. It is pointless to update the firmware without a working abgx

Waiting for the same firmware. But using 1.61 in combination with a proper scene release, can you be certain not to get banned from LIVE? |

if M$ really bans ppl because they played a game because its not released yet.
and they can see this, because gamescore is always online updated.
So would be logical to assume you can get banned even with a stealth release and the proper fw |
So playing online with a hacked 360 with proper firmware and stealth game will always put you at risk. Sounds more like Russian roulette. Then what are all the 1337 dudes doing here? Playing online with hacked or original 360's?

well seems logical to me if achievements are timestamped on the xbox and or servers.
that they can ban you that way.
If this is really how people are getting banned i don't know.
so far i am not banned yet, don't play online a lot but the xbox is not connected to the net either.
I just connect sometimes to check downloadable content etc...

i think if they had finished the fw for the older ones they would have released it.
don't see them keeping a finished fw from being released, because a fw from a newer model is not ready.

Achievements are not stored with a date, there are a couple of reasons for that.
1) Some people don't have their xbox connected to power 24/7 (Including me), the data always resets back on power on to somewhere 2005.
2) Not enough space to store a date on it for xbox with a lot of games.

stored?, where?, i f i play offline then get an achievment then all it says is Acquired
with no date, same shows on xbox.com?, same as before even before NXE came out.

Think people. If you play something offline at a certain date they wont use that in order to ban you for playing early. The Xbox internal clock is a catastrophy since it resets back to 2005 when you unplug it from power because it lacks battery. The uncertainty of people having the wrong date on their xbox and banning because of that is not viable.
What is more dangerous is playing these games ahead of release online, that date is 100% actionable because it is recorded on MS own servers.Not like this is anything new...

Nope. You cannot trust the xbox date itself. Even if it was stored for online it would be that date and time so no, absolutely untrue.

Did the ban remove feature to install and play games from HDD ?

No the already installed MW2 i can still play from the harddisk, i am kinda bummed cause i think playing MW2 online yesterday got me banned.
Anyone know what my chances are if i buy a new Xbox360 and get the unhackable liteon? what versions of the liteon are there anyway and wich one isnt hacked yet.

2nd revision of the 8 serious and the 9 serious have no key read out's yet , so no way to flash
