Yeah, it's a DLC item that you get given (along with Embri's Magic Pockets and Amulet of the War Mage) by accomplishing certain objectives in the flash game. If you play whilst signed into your EA account, you get given those three items when you login on Dragon Age. The Helm is the hardest one to get due to the amount of time needed (one of the achievements is to finish the game with all three character classes)

Guys, can somebody confirm that the game DOESN'T HAVE 5.1 sound?
( Coz it drives me crazy, I can't believe a game nowadays doesn't support 5.1 sound )

Dag,
Sorry if this has been asked before, but can you play while logged into your EA account w/o having entered a serial (in other words, I ctrl-alt-deleted and exited the code program).
I was avoiding logging into EA for that reason (and I didn't imagine having a duplicate serial would be any better).

I'm not sure about the task killing without entering a serial, but I'm logged in on my EA account even whilst using the very first key from the Skidrow NFO.

Glad the game isn't too dumbed down. Though I am glad they've taken a step away from strict D&D, if only for the fact that you don't have to sleep every 5 minutes to recover abilities! I was almost tempted to play a caster! alas, the lure of being the stereotypical, heroic meat-shield for my first play through was too great. Playing on hard (also without map markers, which is a nice option for a more authentic experience) and it's making for an enjoyable challenge.

It's probably an intermittent bug, mate. The game, and consequently the DLCs, aren't even officially out until "today" (today being 3rd of November, which it has been for 4hrs now) - so support is likely nonexistent. If it is a bug, or something related to loading the DLC without authorisation (doubtful on that part..) then no doubt it'll be fixed sometime this week, when more people legitimately get their hands on the game.

Anyone try Revenant, on Hard or above? Level scale nothing. That guy will rip through you in a minute. Fought him on Normal for 10 minutes and he still didn't go down. Had to dial it down to Easy to beat him.

Holy crap, that's awesome! How did you find that out, dude?
Basically, just having the main DLC folders isn't enough, they're missing certain files packaged in the .dazip format. To legitimate owners of the DLC, you wouldn't need them as the game automatically downloads and installs all relevant files, but to RIP the DLC for other people - you'd miss those key files. I assume those .dazips would come as part of a downloadable archive for those that don't have a home connection, so they could download the entire DLC packs from elsewhere and manually install them at home.

Basically load the .dazip files via the dragon age auto updater.

It's just strange, since I have no problem talking to the guy who gives the quest. Yet I am given no rod, and no map update. Same with Warden's Keep, I can talk to quest giver at camp, but no map update to further the quest. So the DLC is definitely installed, its just... stalls, or something.
Edit: I'll try the dazip thing.

See my post above, guys. For those that are paranoid about running unknown files, those dazip archives can be opened and explored in 7zip. I just checked and they are, indeed, the missing talktables and other relevant data for the DLCs -- stuff that *isn't* in the DLC folders we've downloaded and installed.
