The Wire was one of those shows that I had to FORCE myself to watch the first 3 episodes or so... I found it kind of shit to be honest... but everyone was saying it was so good, so I stuck it out, and my god. When season 1 was in full swing, and into some of season 2 (which I didn't like THAT much) and all of season 3 was WOW.
Season 4 and 5 by the way are in a league of their own. Some of the most depth I've ever seen in a TV Show.
Mind.Blown.
As for other shows to watch? I'd be willing to suggest Modern Family, Vernonica Mars and ..
most importantly..
The Big Bang Theory.
It's my funniest show on TV right now.

To each his own, but imo season 2 is farout the best season. Great guest-actors for season 2, esp. Frank Sobotka. His acting blew me away.

Yep, I think seasons 2 and 4 are the best, with 2 taking the cake. It was the most relateable for me.
