How big of an impact does the extra items have? Will they matter in anyway to the storyline?

I doubt the items have any impact on story since there are several version with different bonus items. It would be strange if the story changed depending on where you bought the game. I do wonder about the big DLC's though.

Combat is like in baldurs gate I/II or Icewind Dale I/II. Plenty of planning and plenty of pausing.

KOTOR, or rather NWN2 basically you click the enemies and your character attack then you use abilities (as i'm not playing a mage nor gotten one in my party yet i can't say how that bit works) =)

Love this game, trying to pre-order from d2d but it keeps declining both my creditcard and paypal for some reason.

OMG, is this a joke??? Wow this would be the first game I'll be playing on easy in years. I usually play at normal/medium but.... wow. Surprised

Maybe I haven't played far enough but about 6 hours in on normal my main character hasn't died yet and this was on the 360 version. I imagine with the better view and pausing ability it'll be even easier on the PC.

The game is definitely harder than Mass Effect but seems no worse than older Bioware fare (KotOR or BG), it just requires that you pause more than most RPGs.

As far as I know, the difficulty settings on the console version are much easier compared to the PC version. During Bioware's little tournament a few days ago, 360 users were on normal and PC users were on easy.

Extra items are just that, extra bonus shiny stuff that will last a few levels probably.

DLCs that actually matter are Warden's Keep and The Stone Prisoner, they give lots of extra content, new character that you can party with throughout campaign and so on.

Wardens Keep also?

Great game, just played 20 min or so, but i loved it Smile

The gfx could have been better but im not complaining, the art style of the game is really nice. I zoom down from time to time just to look at the environment Very Happy

Im at the mage school atm, and it looks real nice.

Im playing on hard, and i managed the first "big" fight, it was not very hard but not easy either Smile

Nice choice and consequence right from the start (as mage) and also already some riddles!! (love riddles) Wink
