Dear god the XBOX version is ugly as sin in the cut scenes. That or whoever ripped this version has a lesser product on their hands. I fear it is a bad rip, and not the former as there are going to be some disappointed people.

Definitely, I also got the 360 version for comparison and the textures there are low res compared to what I can get on my pc.
not to mention the mouse+ keyboard control scheme and limitless hotbar shortcuts, where you on the console only get 6.
And finally the isometric view as shown in the screenshot.

Is that isometic view the only option, or is there also an option for the somewhat over the shoulder control as well (perhaps like in The Witcher where you can choose)?

Great, thanks.
As a comical note, are you still bothered by characters "attacking the air" in a 2009 game? Is it that bad?

Yes when I sometimes catch a fighter in a bad moment and he's hitting the air, it does annoy the hell out of me.

The characters dont attack the air. When someone gets their face bashed in. . .they get it bashed in. In fact a character can NOT activate their ability if they are not within range. We're not talking in range, with a mob in between them, you need to be up close and facing them.
Also, on Hard - these guys aren't dummies. The archers aren't rushing in to fight you, and some of the Alpha's will try to lure you into traps. I got caught in a bear trap, and got nuked by some mages. I had to load a save file, and send my warriors in first, using my ranger to slow the emissary down, so that he couldn't run and alert his buddies (and get my caught in a trap).
Also on that one battle in the wilds, had to pop like 6 potions. You really have to pay attention to what your NPC's are doing. If a ranger isn't making sure to spam his pinning shot, and he's drawing aggro - hes a goner.

TBH, I am really not bothered by this, I learned to live with it. I just remember Epsilon raging about it in the other thread and was interested to see what was the outcome.

Well I quite like this game, it's no revolution in the rpg genre, rather it's a return to an already established way of creating a good rpg, established in the nineties.
However theres a lot of things which have been heavily inspired by The Witcher, but I'll choose not to make a big deal out of that at this stage.
There could've been some more spells as well, but I suppose they're planning an expansion as well.
My money are well spent on this though.

the fact that some people have the game already and strangely enough no rld or rzr or whatever group has a copy just strengthens my opinion that groups are either people who work for the big game companies or have a "unofficial" deal with the companies not to release the game in underground scene until a specific time...that and the fact that a lot of rld releases that use cdkey end up magically with the last 3 digits being RLD says a lot...
so we need a backstabbing s.o.b. group that will release the game and screw the deal:)

Or they don't really care about people who fret over quick releases, particularly ones that never contributed to anything themselves...

| That's what they've been billing it as for the last 3 years or so, which is good. Since most RPG's that have come out have sucked.

Fuck me. Shit. Just. Got. Serious. But what really pisses me off, is that assholes spoiled the X-Tra Companion, so now I'm sitting here thinking "Oh how is Spoiler: | that cocksuck Ternyn gonna redeem himself! | "
I think I'm going to stop playing right here, as my evening is full, and hope for a PC release sometime when I get home tomorrow. This constant HISS of the XBOX and the godawful graphics are really ruining the experience for me. . .or not ruining it, but not pulling me in as it should.

Thank fuck we are now in the void. I don't understand why it could be possible for a dyslexic, limbless person to have uploaded this (but they haven't) by now but cracking groups seem to be having trouble. They're not that 1337 if they cannot get their hands on this just to rip it. Even monkeys in Russian zoo's are most likely playing frisby with the disks now. wtf is going on?

It's Halloween, all the teenagers that make up the groups are all dressed up and trick or treating.
