So... the game runs at 30 fps and it has no options for AA, AF, etc. You can only set the resolution.
And on my system (Phenom X4 9650, 8800 GT) it runs like shit. When there are physics interactions it goes down to 15-20 fps.
But even when it runs at 30 fps the game runs like shit, it doesn't feel fluid.
Also the FMVs (which are really huge) are encoded in widescreen 1280x720 but instead or retaining their aspect ratio for my 4:3 resolution when played back they are cropped to keep only the center information. LOL, haven't seen any game do this.
Let's see how many idiots buy this game. When will companies understand that they cannot release a game in such a shit condition on the PC, just as they cannot release it on the consoles? Do we really need someone (Microsoft, Sony, Nintendo) to threaten them that if their game is below some standards they cannot release it?
Also LOL at the nvidia logo at the start of the game. This is a classic case of putting a logo on a game just for marketing purposes.
And then like you peoples were all like, "YOU IS TROLLIN!" and I was like "I AM NOT TROLLING!! I AM guess_who_kthxbai YOU SEE! Mm!"

Daemon Tools Lite 4.30.4 + YASU 1.6.9040 = Works flawlessly. About to go play now, will report on how it runs/controls.
=Edit=
ROFL. Oh dear, that doesn't bode well for the future. I didn't even manage to get half-way up the scrolling text intro before the game crashed and threw up a "Caused an error and needs to be closed" This is with the Clone, not the crack, too.
Fun!

Used Clone + RLD crack

Well Aspyr Media aren't the original devs.
BTW was the game completely broken on the consoles too, with the enemy AI often ignoring me even when I'm in front of them and other stupid errors like these, or are they "exclusive" bugs to the PC port?
Sometimes AI, physics, etc act really really weird.
Also the game has some sort of fake AA (blur filter) I think?

It's identical to the 360 version, in terms of graphics and framerate, so wtf is with the 25GB install? The HD movies are only 7GB.
Meh, the game feels awkward and horrid on the keyboard and mouse, too.

Ok, I honestly don't think I'll continue with this. I'd rather not tarnish the memory of a fantastic experience I had on the 360 version.
Pros.
- Looks as nice, or as bad - depending on your taste, as the 360/PS3 version.
- Runs flawlessly for me (full speed even during heavy physics) E7200@3.6Ghz, 4GB DDR2, 4870-1G.
- Handles quite nicely with a decent joypad.
- Uhh... another pro? Ummm... umm... it's Star Wars?
Cons.
- It looks identical to the console versions, except with horrid overbright and an eye-watering "blur filter" (seriously, it hurts my eyes when watching)
- No graphics configuration, except for resolution.
- Framerate capped at 30fps and the gameplay feels sluggish and unappealing.
- 25 fucking gig install for absolutely no reason.
- Keyboard and mouse control feels awful, a 360 controller (or any other really) is strongly recommended Nay; REQUIRED.
- Hideous loading times, including in and out of the OPTIONS menu
- Random, inexplicable, crashes (not crack related as I'm playing the Clone)
- Aspyr Media handled the port. Oh dear.

Performance seems better on the main game missions (with Starkiller) but guess what? The game crashed to the desktop again.
Awesome.
Edit: On the other hand controls with kb + mouse feel ok to me.

My resolution options seem limited to 1024x768. What the fuck. Ohgod halp, hopefully -x -y works.
The "Video/Audio" options consist of Music, Sound Effects and Brightness. (lol)
Edit: Somehow the shortcut parameters don't work. /cry time to find .ini
the "ini" is an "xml" file in this case. Retarded.
Because everyone reads these amirite.

I'd recommend, if you want to play, that you have a high-spec PC (not Crysis/GTA4 level, but certainly the equal of mine), a 360/PS3 controller, and patience to wait for the inevitable repack which has downsampled movies and better compression on the archives. 14GB DL and 25GB install for this is just wrong, IMO.
So far I've seen nothing that shows graphical or audio superiority over the console versions, so why the bloated space requirements?
All in all, the game itself is incredible - worth a play for anyone - but the port needs patching. Get it, but only if you can handle the size of the DL/install and the lack of PC-centric options.

Don't know if it helps you, but the readme says that the game supports only resolutions that can be run at 60 Hz.
Maybe make a new resolution through your graphics card panel? (nvidia at least has this option)
There's no ini...

You know what? I don't think the 30fps cap is intended... when fighting Storm Troopers, smacking them about with the lightsaber causes the framerate to fluctuate quite a bit - going from 30fps to 45-50fps, then back down to 30 again.
Bizarre.
The game does feel a lot smoother once the initial training mission is out the way, but it's still sluggish compared to the 360 (even though it never drops below 30) and my GOD it needs anti-aliasing. This is the first game I can remember where I've actively been thinking "I wish this had AA..." The 360 version at least had 4xAA and the absence is extremely noticeable.
=Edit=
LOL. The contents of config.xml in the above location, thanks to Trismogestos;

Sabin obviously all these cons are because your PC is very outdated and is nothing like a modern, next gen console. Also you used pirated version so this is also all due to piracy, obviously of course. This is by no means due to incompetent bunch of monkeys called Aspyr. You sir are an elitist PC gamer and PC gaming is dead because every PC gamer requires good games and optimized well, but you don't realize that developers don't owe you anything and you must give them your money regardless of whatever the product is you spoiled elitist. This is why PC gaming is dying.

What happens if you force AA 4x (Edge Detect and Adaptive AA might help a bit as well but at a performance cost as well, SSAA might be a bit too much though if you have it enabled.)
Rename the EXE to say UT3.exe and see what happens, unsure if the game uses deferred shading but UT3.exe (Or Bioshock.exe or Mass Effect.exe) should allow you to force AA. (Oblivion.exe will as well but HDR+AA has been possible for quite a while now so I'd say UE3 exe files would work better.)

I'll give it a try, see what happens to performance >_>
=Edit=
Ok, force (teehee...) enabled 8xAA from the ATi CC and it's noticeable, with no performance loss either, but it's not perfect and there are still jaggies. Enabling Adaptive AA causes the screen to overbright and then completely white-out, so it needs to be off.
Come on kiddies! Let's play spot the difference
Spoiler: |
Off.
On. 8x Box Filter.

On. 8x Box Filter.
Off.
On. 8x Box Filter.
On. 24x Edge Detect.
|
Jaggies are a LOT worse, with or without the forced AA, out in the main hangar. Switching from 8xAA Box to 24xAA Edge Detect is better. Still no performance loss (WTF? I've yet to EVER meet a game that had zero performance loss when forcing AA) and a lot smoother lines than on standard Box filtering.
Yanno... this game might just be bearable after-all!
