Don't hold your breath on it. I've got a buddy in TO that got his copy today, and he's in love with it.

Speaking on the otherside, looks like there's quite a few places that have broken the release date(In Ontario damn me and the pain killers to foget to post that), but being where I'm at right now, I really don't feel like popping out for an hour drive to go pick up a copy.

You know this time I don't really feel BioWare has built up as much hype as the gaming-media and the fan community. They've released some kick-ass videos granted and they've taken the mature game to the next level, but I feel it's honest and not a salesstunt. I believe BioWare when they say they want to make a game for grown ups. Mass Effect wasn't tacky or sleazy in any way, in my opinion, unlike Age of Conan which I felt they took the nude approach to sell more boxes.

If there's one thing I feel the developers has promised it's a fluent and intelligent dialogue system and real consequences to your in-game actions. This is something they need to deliver on in my opinion.

Every major title these days has a certain amount of hype and promises no doubt. No matter what BioWares intentions or who's responsible for their hype, if they deliver a poor product they will get punished. Hard!

!

Agreed, that is what they've been promising, as I said "...the developers promises" not the fan community Smile

There was a review in a trusty (imo of course) mag. I just read the conclusion though. It got an 87, which is very good for this particular mag. Good points were the story, atmosphere and the gameworld Bioware created in general. They found the combat a bit lacking, but still good. Chaotic at times, easy to lose oversight.

nice, good going. how far have you gotten in the game? How is it performance wise, do you need a good computer to run it without problems or has it been optimized good for mid performance computers etc?

this is what worries me

usually when people claim new games as the best rpg ever it's a heat of the moment kind of thing or they just havent played any classic titles before

i'll assume it's the first option lol

ie how many people said oblivion is the best RPG of all time the minute it was released then changed their mind an hour after playing.

This will probably get this link closed FAST, but if you haven't already seen it:

www.dragonagewalkthrough.com/[section goes here]

Sections such as equipment, classes, armor, etc. Be warned there are (some people say) massive spoilers in the classes/characters section. I haven't seen any in the armor and equipment area which is what I was most concerned with, and the classes section looks relatively tame - but there are definitely HUGE MAJOR spoilers in the Characters area - such as information about a

Which is a slight spoiler in and of itself so I'm tagging it as such in case you want to be completely surprised.

So yeah, I'm confused. Obviously the game is available - and apparently doesn't need the key/DVD to play it - so where is the release? I'm surprised there hasn't even been a P2P release yet. I guess the game is so good that everyone is too busy playing to upload Very Happy
