usually something like this takes your attention from real important shit that happening in the world, stuff like wars, economy crisis, dickheads politicians etc, gives them enough room to do their regular crap with less attention, so yeah it's just another flu
ppl die from car crashes every day, we don't see transportation getting so much attention now do we

Maybe you should think about other people aswell? Take the vaccine so you don't give the flu to someone with a weak immune system. If this wouldn't have spread, none of the people would've died.

No, I don't think the swine flu is the end of the world like the media says (more or less). But please, why help it spread? What if it mutates? You'll have a much better chance of getting away uninfected if you took the vaccine.

If you don't take the vaccine for yourself, do it for others.

Also, variations and mutations are unavoidable - why not guard yourself and up the chances of not getting infected?

because its not _that_ much worse than the normal flu, and if I got it I would just isolate myself here. Aint that many people here I could infect. And btw; free health care in Norway... well, not totally. They want 50 NOK for the vaccine, No way id rather die. Cool Face ...well, they say it will be free after awhile tho, WTF!?

But the biggest reason I don't want the vaccine is the side effects.

The side effects?

Well, that's good. I mean, i know people who've gotten the swine flu. And the vaccine. Most of the time, the vaccine gives you an aching arm, and maybe some fever for 1-2 days.

People with the flu? High fever, and many of them with other effects, such as lung inflammation or throat catarrh.

All im saying is, you're running the risk of getting worse side effects from the flu thats even worse than the vaccine effects - and thats without taking the flu itself in account.

But whatever, im not going to convince you or anything.

if you are vaccinated and you get the flu, which is as likely as getting the flu without a vaccine (just less symptoms otherwise it would be completely useless),you will still infect as much people as you would without the vaccin.

No scientific basis for this, just what i think

are hospitals over here are getting ridiculous, anyone who has a slight case of a fever or flu hauls ass to the hospital. It's been on a lot of news news lately that the vacciin is being found to have extra chemicals in it that's not good and their telling you to get the spray up the nose instead lol.

If you're healthy, not pregnant and so on. You should actually have hoped to get it in the summer where nobody had it. It is still something that the hospitals etc should worry about in the coming months when we enter flu-season because of the number of cases that could come but other than that, ye it's just like normal flu in severity. Of course if you ARE pregnant or have a lowered immunesystem for some reason then ye it should you worry you. Just like the normal flu D:

i got a flu about two months ago so most likely i already got the swine flu since there is no other flu around
it was very mild: some fever, headache, coughing
it lasted about a week, still coughing up slime though
nothing to worry about

I have flu again. This is the second time in just a few months. Screw taking a vaccine though, again I don't feel as bad as when I normally get flu.

Oh noes we're all gonna die!!

No seriously, I think it al depends on a persons state of mind. It has long been confirmed that your emotional state is directly connected to your immune system - you're depressed, you have a greater chance of getting ill.

And it all comes to the level of education of a person. For instance: my friend had his hernia operated last month. And I came to visit him, and there was his cousin. And she was like: oh I'm not gonna touch you (her cousin) because I've heard that there is some kind of bacteria... MRSA that is going around in hospitals...

I almost burst out laughing at her face. Yea if they cut you open, and you happen to be one of like million people ho gets it Rolling Eyes

Plus all I can say is: know thy enemy. Drink lot's of fluids, eat honey (it's yummy and good for ya), eat fruit, basically sth you could do on a regular basis, and you'll be fine...

Now that I think of it, maybe those diseases are meant to get rid of stupid people (oh how I wish that)...

Heh, sad but true. It's incredible how low the risks are (here in Italy there have been several deaths, but the patients were all suffering from severe chronical diseases), yet the media are portraying this flu as the Apocalypse 2.0

They simply need to distract and confuse the masses from something else. An example?: Politics, and everything surrounding it Rolling Eyes

Here in Poland there is a mass hysteria (the virus is near the Polish-Ukrainian border) caused by mass-media and because not too many people actually think (hence the democracy, errr... i meant socialism) swine flu is being talked about.
For me its just an ad for swineflu vaccine, nothing more.
