Spoiler: |
The player will begin his or her journey in one of the six Origin stories which serve as an introductory point for the players and present the world from their personal point of view. The Origin chosen determines who the character is and by the same measure how NPCs (party and non-party) will react to the player. Elves for example are often viewed as second rate citizenry. The developers have cited 'realistic' fantasy fiction such as George R.R. Martin's A Game of Thrones and fantasy paintings by artists such as Frank Frazetta as inspiration for the game.(Wikipedia entry Oct 09) |

I know how it will compare, PC version will be far superior in every aspect.

At what aspect exactly do you believe the console version will be superior?
Install time?

Does anyone know if this game is a port of the pc title, console ported to pc or a entirely dedicated development?
The reason I ask is that some of the in-game cut scene's look suspiciously like console ports on the pc version.
This time its a complete turn-around, the in game engine looks FAR superior to the cut scene's across ALL platform's.

You are such a biased console fanboy it's not even funny. Everyone who played both versions is saying that PC is better, watch giantbomb video again and turn off your fanboyism for a minute.
Let me break this down for you, PC version has:
Dev kit, which has unlimited potential of free user generated content.
High resolution, antialiasing, good framerate and all these goodies that PC is capable of.
Better textures.
Better UI. You can have like 20 quickbars each having 26 slots. It's crucial for RPG like this.
Better controls.
Better pause system.

me?
I love my pc, I was just asking whether for very long rpg's it might be better to get the console version, I have serious rsi down my left arm so I think the post was valid.
Neon25 explained to me that the game will have ai scripting on the pc version, so that sold it for me.
What I might do is try a pad in conjunction with my pc.

Are you suggesting that the console version won't have AI scripts?

He's talking about this PC exclusive feature:
Quote: | Continuing a tradition the company established with Neverwinter Nights, BioWare has announced that their forthcoming PC RPG Dragon Age: Origins will come complete with a robust toolset, allowing players to create and share their own adventures with the community. Users will have access to a full set of assets and areas to use in the original creations, along with a script editor that will allow them to fully tweak creature AI to create their own customized combat encounters. BioWare plans to create a dedicated community web site to go along with the editor, where people who think they are better than you can tell you what you've created sucks. |

x360 version had full of low textures... |
If the game was developed on the Xbox 360 and then ported to PS3, you can expect the game to look and perform worst on PS3, just like most of the multiplatform games out there.

In the Quick Look for Dragon Age, unless they were missing something, they said there were no AI scripts (or perhaps not as deep as the PC) for the consoles.
EDIT: And apperantly in that video there is some annotated text where you push Y to bring up the tactics menu. So mystery solved.
