I still don't understand if there's a 100% working Windows 7 copy right now. People seem like they're still having problems with the loaders?

If by people you mean users with lack of know-how, then yes.

I have know-how. But there isn't a release with a fully working automated loader. No matter what level your know-how is on. It works on some computers, but doesn't on others.
Manually using loaders afterwards however always seems to work. |
Is it really that hard to click one exe two times with your mouse and choose a whatever motherboard manufacturer from the list?

Quote: | Windows Vista users can follow multiple upgrade paths to Windows 7. As was the case when upgrading from XP to Vista, you will only need to perform a clean install if you are going to a version that is lower on the food chain. For example, if you are going from Windows Vista Ultimate to Windows 7 Home Premium, you would do a clean install. If you are going from Windows Vista Home Premium to Windows 7 Ultimate, you do not need to do a clean install. When you switch to a higher version, you're adding on the existing functionality, but when you're going to a lesser version, you're taking away functionality, thus the need for a clean install. |
Is this true? I want to go from Vista business to home premium since I don't need the business options. But I don't want to reinstall the whole fucking thing.

AwE..how did you get 3 keys or 4 for the 32bit? I mean you only get assigned one key per person..so you should only have two x64 and 2 x86?

i just tried out the final version of 'windows xp mode' under windows 7 ultimate x64 on intel quad. it's not bad. i like it. it seems like it takes forever to start/reboot the virtual image.
it took an hour or so to update window xp mode's guest os through windows update. but overall the integration feature where you run a guest app in the host os is pretty similar to vmware's unity. except, it's more transparent then vmware's unity and quicker too. i ran powercalc and didn't notice any slowness. of course, it's a tiny app. but i remember doing something similar with vwmare unity and the results were horrible.
too bad it's stuck at 16-bt color instead of 24-bit or 32-bit. also, you're limited to 1600x1200 max resolution. i tried maxing out the virtual ram (around 3.4 gb) but that didn't do anything.
with windows xp mode, i don't need to dual boot anymore. but i'm wondering if i'll ever seriously use it. i guess it's good to surf the web inside the virtual environment to contain any malware. i wonder if it can handle ancient 2d games like baldur's gate. hmmm...
