"Americans" "buying games" can get MW2 with a $15 Gift Credit towards future purchases, if they bought from Amazon or Walmart. I know most of us arent American and/or dont buy games, hence the double-double quotes!!!

WOW awesome news. How credible is that guy on IRC? I wonder if 1.61 will be the final version and will play the wave 4 games or is 1.61 just a temporary fix and 1.7 will come out after that

Yeah he's the man with the masterplan and dont feel bad you didnt know who he was..i dont understand why people get cocky with people that dont know any better ..i find it funny because we all were noobs at one point..you know that old saying though..what goes around comes around..thats why i tend to treat people with respect

Anyways..1.6.1 wont be a "temp" fix..it will be the official "next" firmware... and no one said there would be a 1.7 firmware yet, correct me if im wrong..honestly there isnt really any more that can be done with these firmwares besides updating them for new waves.

Thanks so much for the info. I had been reading about 1.7 so I wasnt sure if that was real or not. Kinda stupid to update to one thing just to find out another one is coming out in another month or so. Since I pay someone to do the flashing for me, dont want to have to pay him twice. I am looking forward to the new firmware..since I am on 1.51 I will get all the benefits of 1.6 and also have the added feature of being able to play wave 4 games. Glad to know that guy on IRC si the real deal. I guess sometime this week it will be released Smile

Flashing fw is annoying. People always say how easy it is and stuff but they don't take into account that its a huge pain in the ass to pull out my PC, remove the side panel, find my sata cable and then try to remember all the jungle flasher steps for my current drive.

Just like fixing RROD is technically easy, its still a pain in the ass. I hope 1.6.1 will do for at least the rest of the year
