So, I'm gonna buy a Wii today, but I won't be able to get a modchip until sometime next week. And I was thinking, is there any way to load ISO's without a modchip? I googled some on Wii USB loader/ISO loader, and got some info, but I'm still unsure if this can be done to all Wii's, since I know more or less nothing about the damn thing
Any helpful thoughts and input?

Then, once done, how about loading your ISOs from HDD?

One quick thought - I'm guessing I need a blank and FAT32-formatted drive for the loader to work? I already have a NTFS formatted 320 gig USB drive for my laptop, but i'm guessing it won't work?
Edit: Hm, WBFS.. ? Fuck I have alot of reading to do tonight, don't I?

I got miself a WII today only problem beeing that I don't know anything about how to make images to work on it. Coul u share please?
Do I need a new hdd ? How do I execute the loader ( install )?
Can I burn the images and use them with the loader? Pls answer cause it's goona be to much to read from the beginning. Tks
Well I followed the guide and formated a SD but then as I stick it in the WII and try accessing it the system freezes and then I have to reboot. Any of u guys got this?
Firmware is 2
It doesn't matter what region your ISO is, just DON'T install an update from another region, that's all.
I don't know about USB loader, as I still burn my games. Homebrew browser is practically all you need, you can start everything else from there.
You can install it with the Bannerbomb hack if you are at FW 4 or up, or just with the Twilight Hack on anything below that.

@bringiton I used the install.bat in the wii soft modding guide so it should already be formatted in the right way (i think that would be FAT16) but the wii freezes as it accesses it so I suppose it has to do with the firmware wich is only 2.
How can I hack a firmware 2.xx or how could I only update to firmware 3?
Tks
I believe, if I'm not mistaken, that the newest - and best - softmod tools actually require, or at least recommend, the latest firmware. In this case, that would be 4.1, right?
Please don't rely on that though, my experience with Wii flashing is extremely limited these days (I no longer have one, so I've not felt it prudent to keep up with all the latest info)
I don't really keep up to it because I don't play very much, and only update when I have to (like with Dead Space).
When you are on such a low firmware, why don't you just use the Twilight Hack? Or if you don't have the Zelda game, just upgrade your Wii and Softmod with Bannerbomb then. It's really easy and when you have the channel installed, you can launch everything.
