CS doesn't need classes, you get all your equipment yourself. Now unless they have that kind of system in this, it's gonna suck without classes.

Heh, perhaps I was wrong but the name of the video had DX11 in it's title so I assumed they ran it on that, it is one of the major titles AMD is promoting and hyping along with games like Dirt 2 and Call of Pripyat but of course it won't really look all that different from the other modes. Smile
(Battleforge DX11, Call of Pripyat and Dirt 2 all primarily use Hardware Tesselation as their major DX11 feature with some other minor things.)

The video is edited so abruptly and sped up so much (to create the illusion xenomorphs are fast in the game), that any use of tessellation would really go unnoticed. Smile

There is a video of the effect at work that was shown at some conferance. So it is definitely in there.

I am still not sure if you would ever notice it though unless you were looking carefully for it.

Correct, but there's nothing to suggest that the video showcases any dx11 effects.

The article is named: Aliens vs. Predator: New Aliens Trailer of the DirectX 11 game and the video uses the same name ALIENS VS. PREDATOR Aliens-Trailer DirectX 11 game www.pcgh.de albeit very slightly changed.

It's not a dx11 trailer; it's a trailer of a dx11 game. These days most trailers are captured from the consoles anyways.. For example the trailers from Modern Warfare 2 are rendered on consoles (Xbox 360, which is the lead platform): http://www.digitalfoundry.org/blog/?p=770

It might just as well be that he doesn't know. PC SKUs are rarely discussed these days, even among PR people, so maybe he genuinely doesn't know. But also, does anyone expect any different? This will end up like any recent console port - probably free MP (no serial check) and nobody playing because it is so shit online. Laughing

It just pisses me off that the multiplayer part might be shitty, because the first AVP game had awesome multiplayer, and it's the same company that is making this one.
