DLC will be out on 14th.
Aside the "Last stand" game mode, it will have at least 2 new maps (1on1 and 2on2), and supposably it will have bug/balance fixes.
As for the expansion, nothing really new, aside the one week old 30 sec. teaser found here

Playing coop with a friend, we are about halfway through and I can already say that this is one of the best RTS games ever made. You are instantly sucked into action, there is no downtime, no need to spend half the time looking after your base and list of great features can go on and on.
Basically they fixed/improved all the annoyances that plagued RTS genre for years.

Yup, definately one of the best RTS campaigns made. Now, if they could just make more different kinds of missions, it would be perfect.

Well, it's a very cool game, but not really an RTS game. I mean ... strategy ? It's more like squad-based action RPG or something !

I agree here. Company of Heroes was much more "epic" eventhough it used the same system. Overall, I was quite disappointed by it.

Ah, I can't wait for Last Stand mode, seems awesome.
I love that kind of co-op survival shit that's been going around lately. Bring on the DLC!

According to the steam stats page, the number of people still playing DoW II has gone way way down.

How exactly do you go about ripping a Steam update? If it's not too much work, I might be able to rip the latest update.

Well, yeah, but would I need to check the properties of every single file? :/
Or actually, I probably wouldn't be able to do it, as I bought it on Steam today.

Well, I managed to rip a working patch from 1.5 to 1.8, it's about 400-500 MB. I'll start uploading it, might take a while though.
Edit: Will be up in about an hour.
