Let's hope Risen2 will be PC only. I think it's the best for the game.
Maybe there will be an addon too?
Well, still wating for DragonAge now.

Risen could really use a long and rich addon, something ala NotR for G2. The game's a bit short and small as it is.

It's hard to make addon with new locations to the game which takes place on the island.

Frankly, I don't mind an addon the same size as the original Risen, as long as the shortcomings will be taken care of. Even if they just cut the combat time in half (let's say, cut off chapter 4) and instead add another chapter with quests it would improve the game a lot.

I didn't see any gamebreaking bugs. I didn't do the Monastry route though. I didn't really encounter any major bugs, which is very very strange for RPG's these days. For PB it's a miracle even.

Am i the only one who freakin hate those lizardmen? This game seems to have a major difficulty spike, i was cruising through the gameworld but now i seem to get my ass kicked. Is there a more efficient way to deal with them? I'm using a sharp two-handed sword (58 damage).
Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 - ASUS P5Q-PRO - Mushkin XP2-6400 4GB - Gainward HD4850 Golden Sample - WD 3200AAKS (managed to fry this one, ffs) + WD 6400AAKS - Thermaltake 550W PSU - Thermaltake Soprano VX case

Level up more? By the time I got to the lizard men I was chopping them up with ease.
You could try making an obsidian sword too.

yeah obsidian sword , later u get better ones
just invest yur points in sword skill untill u can charge attack, just step back , charge , step back, charge.. just keep distance
here's a lame trick u can use if u want to know
Spoiler: | if ur fighting one on one just push them with yur shield against the wall and then start hacking like crazy, they can't seem to block most of the time
also the 15 points u spent on alchemy are way better then just keep raising your str the normal way cus u can make lots of str potions, if u go collecting all the plants and shit tho |
and dont forget to keep checking out the smiths every chapter sometimes they have new stuff

If you're in one of the factions that can learn magic then do so, the Ice Arrow kicks their ass!

i don't think u can change factions anymore at this point.. the monastery learns runes , but u can still use scrolls wich is basically the same but u have to find ,write or buy them, except for the fire and ice spells and such
anyway this game could use Spoiler: | a huge expantion away from all this temple crawling, makes me think of those horrible gates in oblivion, they kinda overdid it on that part... and what about new quests every new chapter? besides the main one |

Those elite warriors or whatever they're called kick my ass. Of course I just started chapter 2. In that cave just down the hill from the monastery. Behind that little farm. There are a couple of scorpions and then the two warriors. Hell, I can't even take on the scorpions on my own. I lured them out one at a time down to the farm so I had help. But I lured one of those damn warriors out and SIX of us were able to kill one after 2 or 3 of the other guys died. I didn't have magic then though. And I didn't have my executioners blade staff. Haven't tried it or the magic in combat yet.
Also, what opens the magic barrier in that big hall under the monastery? Tried a fireball and magic bullet but neither of those did anything.

dodger later on you will get a spell that will break the barrier so dont worry about it.
I'm going a little nuts trying to find the last piece of the armour
I have - Breastplate, brassards/greaves, shield and the hammer I'm guessing I'm missing the helmet? Anyone know where it is?

Thanks for all your responses. What sword skill do i require for dispatching lizardmen with ease? I'm guessing level 5 isn't enough (obviously ^_^). Oh, and i always play a melee fighter in RPGs, so spellcasting isn't an option.

Just get the clone, works perfect with DT lite and no yasu.
